Ive been smoking since i was 17. I was involved in a serious car accident at 21 that caused severe damage to my head, and i did suffer brain damage (hemorrhaging). Ive smoked off and on since, and have smoked almost daily the past 5 years. Ive never given much thought to the medicinal properties of cannabis until recently, Ive mainly just gotten high.

In 2014 i quit for 25 days and became very depressed. Ive recently quit just to try being sober and see where i stand psychologically. Gradually my headaches have become worse. At about day three the withdrawl symptoms had subsided and i was 100% sober. Ive noticed since day 3 that my headaches have become more frequent and more intense. I did have headaches while using cannabis, but once i took 2 or more tokes everything went away and i was fine.

Could i have chronic headaches and ive never noticed because i never stopped using cannabis? Should i use again based strictly for medicinal properties? The headaches have become nauseous at times, and again cannabis solved my nausea problems as well as my pain issues.

ive had ctscans in the past and nothing really came up. I suppose i could see a doc, but i dont do well with opiates. ....

I stopped because i felt dependant, and was gaining alot of weight due to over eating. Also the lack of quality budd. Most typically couch lock strains are sold around here. .... Ill give it a few more days and try some otc migraine meds i suppose

Hey OP. It sounds likely that the weed kept the headaches at bay. When is the last time you got the scans? Another round couldn't hurt. You say that you were gaining weight due to the munchies, perhaps a change to a healthier diet would help although we know how difficult that transition can be. I'd rather smoke MJ than take almost any meds consistently, maybe grow a couple of nice plants: perhaps an indica for the pain at night, and a nice sativa for a lift throughout the day without inducing the appetite too much. Good luck, bro...

Yes that's possible. I would get seen and get a physical clearance that isn't something else then I'd continue to use cannabis, since it helps. Actually kind of nice to get the cure before you realize you even have an illness!
