this was basically a test. i wanted to get a feel for brazing different types of metals together. i had a very limited of supply parts. i have buckets of stuff but i only grabbed a small handful. here's what i did with what i had.

i think with a wider variety of parts to start with i can come up with some good stuff. i have sooooooo much stuff i could use. all kinds of ideas running thru my head. i need to figure out a good way to polish it all out once it's done. that's gonna be the hardest part. it looks really cool all shiny. :hump:

Yes, you could make lawn and garden statues and ornaments. Great idea Twisty, lol.

I would like to order one in a dog theme, lifting it's leg to put beside my tree, lol.:peace:

Now you need to get a cheap sandblaster to clean them up.It's alot easier than steel wool and sandpaper.OPH

keep in mind i am just trying out things here. i am looking for something that people may want. i'm going fast and using rusty parts. if i find something cool that i want to work with i will slow down and obtain the proper supplies.

like this one, i could easily buy a roll of chain and slow down a little and make my lines flow smoother. this is pretty sloppy.

sundials, i like that. :blsmoke:bongsmilie

I love sundials and have no doubt you could get very creative with them.

For the flag pole holders idea I was picturing the kind that mount to the the house (think smaller home flags). They are usually just brackets. I thought it might be cool to add some of your "metal men" on the bracket doing the "raising the flag on Iwo Jima" pose. I think that would be interesting.... and hopefully not disrespectful
;)
