There is a proper way and its also controversial lol. All of my plants every time are naked from the soil line to about 12-16 inches up. Everything buried under the canopy will produce but crappy. Good for rolling joints, extracts ect. You can open the canopy by thinning some straggly growth and tucking down big leaves.Defoliate?
