I was fired for stealing money?

I'm not really that upset over it. More upset with the community that I am a part of coming in the thread that I made and telling me that I'm a dumbass and it's all good because I quit my job at TACOBELL without notice and am pissed because they said I was FIRED for STEALING.

It's nothing, though. You haters can keep hating and I'm going to keep chiefing:bigjoint: and eating my cheetos and making my $.

See, now that sounds like some bullshit that would happen at this taco bell. But everyone who works there is family pretty much, or everyone who used to work there.
Am I the only one that finds it Ironic that this dude says he's gonna keep makin his money, in the same posts where he's complaining because he can't get a job at taco bell?

OK, so that's a reason for my general manager to file paperwork saying I'm a thief? I guess RIU turned into a bunch of assholes. what ever happened to sticking it to the man and all that hippie rebellious shit?

Oh yeah, I forgot, it's just a bunch of old stoners who lost their spirit.
You have been quoted for truth.

Well for starters you should have at least said that you were quitting and signed the papers. There would have been no 2 weeks notice but you would have been able to back your story up. Now trying to go back and get the job you quit from- why? You left in the first place, maybe it was the manager or whatever - but when you left, you put a mark on your employee file.

As for the question at hand - legal action probably wouldn't get you anywhere. In the end, you would probably pay more in legal fees than the job is worth. Just let the manager know the situation and what really happened. Let them know that you were never confronted or aware that this was being put into your file. And that if they looked at your record previous to this, there is no mention of stealing money or even being warned for misconduct.

You will probably be able to back the story up with the fact that the last manager was fired. So use that in your defense and even go so far as to ask for a trial period. Tell them that they can see for themselves what kind of employee you are.

15-25 year old self entitled know it alls , when they don't get there way start striking out in anger
Is that a sentence? I can agree, young people suck. I always found myself hanging out with the older crowd in school, and I feel that those in my age group are always doing/saying something stupid. Maybe I'm just a laid back stoner guy, who thinks too much, but I haven't been smoking weed too much because of probation.

It's like I can't visit a thread on this site without hearing about your probation........

I hate to ask this: but what would be the possible legal action?

Even if the manager said you stole and you didn't that's not cause for legal action, you weren't prosecuted and you weren't slandered in the papers. Maybe the manager did believe you stole, that's her opinion no matter how wrong it may be.

The mexicans have those jobs on lock around here. And after all, putting in applications doesn't pay my bills.

Do you pay your own bills?
I havent paid rent in 4 years. My girl pays all the bills and i make sure we always have a full supply of bud!! Thats about $800 a mth since i buy an oz a week and at $200 a pop thats $800. I dont get enough to buy a QP at once so dont ask!!

well, i guess your all entitled to your opinions but without being in his shoes how do you know the whole story? you guys act like he's a fucking retard or something, worse comes to worse he made a bad choice, cuz he couldnt handle the bs his boss was putting him through, without going through all he went through there how can you say he was at fault and wasnt justified at all though? i pray you all never have to go through one of the uber dickhead bosses shit. its was enough at where i worked b4 that they lost 75% of the employees within a month of hiring the assistant gm.including people who had worked there 5+ years and were never late or missed a day. their are people out there that are that bad, did he work for one that bad? i cant tell you, i wasnt there and neither were any of you, never judge a man till you've walked a mile is his shoes. If they were willing to lie and file an employee theft report it leads me to believe he did though. . i mean no offense to anyone by this post, im just expressing my feelings/opinion on the matter, ive not attacked any of you for your opinions so i would like the same courtesy. you guys should stop judging him for something you have incomplete knowledge on.

If you insist on a fast food position - -

Need a job? McDonald's has an opening at Guantanamo

Out of work and willing to relocate? McDonald's is advertising for an assistant manager for its sole franchise in Cuba — serving up burgers and fries that sometimes feed detainees at the prison camps at Guantanamo Bay.

But see, you miss the point. I wasn't even fired, I walked up to her face and said "Can I please have my last pay check?".

It looks like I'm getting the job back, but I was kind of appalled when I heard that happened. Never had someone older than me and in a higher position personally attack me in a business environment. But I guess that's why she worked at taco bell.

And thank you darkdestruction. If I posted every little thing that led up to all this no one would want to read it and here me bitch. But people fill in their own details and assumptions. Oh well, at least I have plenty of weed to smoke on. :bigjoint::peace:

It is ironic, because I am making money, but only to spend it all between the first and the fifth of every month. With a paycheck(even a tacobell paycheck) I can pay my rent and stack up money on top of it, instead of being back at 0.

the whole saying you stole thing is uber-bogus. but it is in most fast food employee handbooks that people who dont give adequate notice will not be welcome back.

you try to rationalize your action by saying you were going to work at another temporary job. well you have just learned a valuable lesson- one must decide what is better in the long run...a short favorable job, or a steady not-so-favorable job?

you have proven that if the grass looks greener then your a fence-jumping fool. this is why your a fast food employee, your not worth more than $8/hr with the attitude you have.
See now you're still assuming. I never said why I left. I don't try to make excuses, but if you want to believe me I had reasons aside from the fact that the boss was a dick. The job that I took for the summer was 3 states away and I really never planned to return to that tacobell because of the bullshit I had to put up with for 8/hr.

It's funny, though. I didn't realize that the state I was working in had a minimum wage of somewhere around $6.50/hr so I was still making 8/hr. good shit man.

But to say that I'm not worth the 8/hr that I get paid...

Yea dude the other manager just fucked you over for not putting in your two weeks straight up, which is helll of a douche bag thing to do. I really don't think it is worth the hassle to try and take legal action and all that shit. Goooooooood luck.

Some bosses don't deserve 2 weeks notice! I'm not saying you but some bosses really suck ass and should be beaten lovingly with an axe handle while someone explains the error of there ways.

thats what you get for quitting with no notice you P.O.$. Its ignorant people such as yourself that drives business owners, like me, and others bananas. Do you realize how much it costs in time and production to retrain someone to step into someones elses shoes that just felt like they got the shaft and quit with no notice.

You reap what you sow.
