Idea for a "Quick Answer Forum"

I think if there was a forum where regardless if a question has been asked or not that people can ask that question or a variation of it and the whole point of it is to answer. No journal threads and stuff like that.

I've had questions where the exact scenario I'm in is important and nobody has asked about it and it's similar to other questions. For example I posted a question in the DWC forum, and there's been a few replies but no answer to the question. I think for conversational threads the subforums are great, but for quick advice and help maybe something dedicated to that.

I don't know, just an idea.

Yeah, and responses a couple days later in some cases aren't as helpful or at least applicable anymore in the same situation.

So...what? You think there should be a place where people dedicate their time and energy to waiting for and answering questions? We're not tech support around here, you know. I'm sure a little research on google could turn up answers to about 90% of the questions on here, I give you it may require you to separate a little fact from fiction, but it's not like you're doing hardcore manual labor or anything...it's reading, and making logical conclusions based on evidence...it's not that hard.

I didn't say that. But some people DO enjoy helping, and on the other hand, if you find people that have similar problems to you and the title of the thread has the exact question you're asking instead of: "My plant is wilting" it is "Is this overwatering?" in the title and we have the rules that way, the forum will end up a lot more searchable and organized. And like I said, some people do enjoy helping.

It's not going to be a requirement for you to hang out there and answer questions, but come the time something happens and you don't know what to do and you literally can't find it on the internet anywhere either after searching both forums you visit and using Google, you'll be glad it's there. I bet I'm not the only person with that issue.

That's why silly posts get posted in other people's threads and they get hijacked.

It's just an idea, that's all...

thread tags would come in handy in this type of situation. if everyone took the time to tag threads properly for easier searching, it would be easy to find the answers you are looking for. cause it's all here. it may be buried, but all the info you need on growing cannabis is here. just got to find it. but ya.
