If they were smart they would have released this as soon as it happened.

George Floyd had a long record of violent offenses and he had already (DWI) and possibly was in the middle of committing a crime (he was behind the wheel of a vehicle, if the keys were in it, it was a crime). He had to be detained and he was not compliant so force was the only option.
let me kneel on your scrawny nazi neck for 9 minutes and tell you why all of that is irrelevant

You ok with murdering someone because they possibly were driving while under the influence. Good to know

What happens if Derek Chauvin is found not guilty of George Floyd's murder?

Even though I think the piece of shit should, at the very least, spend the rest of his life in prison being raped by the people he abused while arresting them, it is a real possiblity given the technique used is an approved method of subduing a suspect.

It sucks how we treat prisoners, even that murderer who I really would not want to be if he is found guilty.

If he is found not guilty, I think a lot will be down to if Trump or Biden is in office. If nothing else, Biden will not actively troll and race-bait for a power grab throughout the trial to instigate violence because he knows pulling dictator shit is the only thing stopping him and a lot of his brood from landing in the slammer American court when he is no longer POTUS.

I think Chauvin will get off. He just has to say all the stuff his Police Union lawyers tell him to say and he'll leave with a pension and everything. Then there will be riots. I don't think it's something Biden can stop. The problem has gone on too long and Biden's hands aren't clean in this either.

I am not saying Biden will be able to stop what will likely happen if Chauvin gets off for murdering George Floyd, nor am I ignorant of how Biden will be trolled for things like '3 strikes' being added into the crime bill by the Republicans that he worked hard to pass after the Republicans took over congress after Clinton's first 2 years in office.

But Biden won't be out there actively trying to make it worse, and that is saying a lot when the alternative is Trump.

I would hope that there is a burden or requirement that the officer would have to meet showing his life was threatened and that the deadly force was justified. I can’t see it happening personally, the whole country will explode, all races included. At best for Chauvin I could see an eventual plea of guilt with a good deal.

The pigs fucked up this time and the whole ordeal was recorded, how in the fuck are his lawyers or unions going to explain the continued pressure on Floyd’s neck well past the point of consciousness?

If someone dies from a taser or rubber bullet, is that deadly force too? They are all incredibly unpleasant but not what would be defined as "deadly force".
The cops fired a tear gas canister on a peaceful protester

The protester kicked it back at them. He got charged with assault with a deadly weapon

Stop sucking cop dick you racist bootlicker

I'm not defending it. It's just that the US congress passed laws that allow the police to plea that in their judgement at the time it was the right thing to do. Most often the jury lets them off. We have to get those laws changed. To do that we have to get Republicans out of office. To do that, we have to convince enough moderates to vote for Democrats. To do that, Biden said he was against defunding the police, BUT, yaddayadda.

It's going to take a while to fix this.

Same with health care
Same with gun regulations
Same with addressing climate change
Same with on and on

I thought we had turned the corner when, after 8 years of Republican fuck ups, Obama was elected. But no, one step forward, two steps back. I'm optimistic for the future but near term is going to be bare knuckles fighting.
