So my buddy today cut the top off of his plant and gave it to me. lol....anyway...I took 16 clones from the top he gave me...here is the question I still have a huge main stalk...can I clone that mofo too? if has a bunch of leaves on it and the way I figure...if I can even get the thing to root....then it should just branch out like a plant that has been topped right? here are some pics

first pic...untrimmed top of plant
second pic....clones taken from stalk
third pic....trimmed stalk
fourth pic...everything

You may be able to clone it, depending on your ability to clone. It is a little tougher to root the "woody" material of a plant. The smaller ones will root much faster, but you may be able to get that big one to root.
My buddy did this a couple of years ago and got it to root, so I say go for it. And if it doesn't work, you're not really out anything.

might have to use some hard wood cutting solution on that one bro.it will work with normal stuff as well however it might take a while to grow roots and it might have to be kept a little more moist than a standard clone.

the 1st pic looks like it has plenty to clone from and when your clones take root they will be ready for cloning too .
