Dude your crazy if you think I should flower under a 400 watt. I bought the 1000 watt because more light equals more buds. Im shooting for 1 gram per watt.

and i keep my lights 18 - 24 inches from the tops, always. The answer is its obvious genetics. But i have a feeling this plant is gonna give me at least an ounce. theres little flowers bustin out all over the place. and today was day 21.

you really think you will be pulling over 2lbs (1000g) out of this? With 8 plants you will need over 4 oz. a piece and I highly doubt you'll be pulling that off of those. Good luck and I guess you'll have to try to prove us all wrong.

not 2 lbs! shit! For instance I grew 6 1/2 oz. (not including trim, popcorn nugs)6 plants under a 400w and it averaged out to about 1/2 gram per watt. My friend who owns a hydroponics store store told me you want to get 1 gram per watt. So im hoping that my flowering room can put out that much. I have 7 plants in there now and theyre all huge.

i think they looked stretched as well.. it might not be your fault who knows. but don't state. "The stems are so thick i can't even bend them" yet all your pics you have a stick stuck in the dirt and tied to the plant to even hold them up. these plants would not live out in the wild. aka you didn't have a fan on them when they were smaller to beef up the stems.

people on here are not shit talking you. u posted pics, asked how they looked. they are stating the facts. your plants are stretched. who knows why but we just give our opinions and most of those are from experience.

gl with your grow and hopefully your happy with your yield. if you are. post pics to rub it in our faces before and after you chop.

Dude- those were different plants that I have flowering. Skunk #1. The whispy ones are california S.A.G.E. x OG KUSH.
Ive also read that the more energy the stock takes to grow, indoor has the advantage because your plants will use less energy making the stem and more on flowers.
However I could be wrong.

If you are using a 1000w lamp and you are aiming for 1 gram per watt, let's do the math... ok, thats 1 x 1000 which in my calculations come out to.... 1000. So 1000grams at 453.6 grams per pound thats over 2 pounds by my calcualtions. with 7 plants thats 142.9 grams per plant or just over 5 oz. Once again good luck.

dude according to your calculations, even if I made a half gram per watt, thats about 2.5 ounces per plant. 2 oz's per plant would be fine with me. Growing a half gram per watt aint shit. I grew 6.5 ozs (not including popcron or sugarleaves) with 6 plants under a 400 watt. Thats a half gram per watt.

I can sit here and tell you everything that everyone else already told you. But in all honesty you will become a better grower from experience.... Next time give this a try, serious, no joke as your MH could be poo.

Veg for 21 - 30 days under your 1000w HPS and flower with the same fucker. Ill put money that your veg will come out better. See how that batch comes out next time, kind of as a control test to see what happens.
What i do fo distance with the light is put my hand under and feel how hot it is, as long as its not burning my hand it wond burn the plant. Then give an extra 1 - 2 inches just for cushion. ;) good luck bro.

Ive done it.

heres my second to largest California S.A.G.E. x OG KUSH at about day 30. I got these little buds bustin out all over the place. And they have another 9 and a half weeks untill harvest. kind of a shitty pic but you can see the buds and the size of the plant.
Somone said this plant wouldnt survive out doors but i think it would thrive outside. It would get so huge.
