Well as you guessed it... Im a new grower! This is my first grow period. The lady seems to be hungry but im not that sure of whats going on:dunce:. It will be strage if it was nute burn. Here are my reading as of a few minutes ago. Tent temp= 81f RH= 47% PH= 5.9 PPM= 222. What can I do to help them out? They have been in the system for about 17days now. I grew them from seed. I did notice that she shot a lot of roots out the bottom of the net pot. So I wonder if thats her trying to search for more food. The other plants in the 10" pots dont have as many roots coming out as she does.:wall:

I've noticed on my grow I have similar troubles.. but also on the plants that the roots have taken off they have grown much better and faster than the others.. as soon as those roots start taking off the plant will follow and the burn look should be less..

looks like a burn to me. this just happened to me about 5-6 days ago i thought hungary but no to much nute. mine were about 2 weeks old and I dilluted the formula to 1/8 of what was recommended and that still was too much. I have read only 50-70 ppm at this stage. I have flushed really good about 2 days ago. yesterday it was still burning a bit but today they seem to be happy.DSCN2604.jpgDSCN2606.jpgDSCN2605.jpg
these pics were taken on day 16 it is now day 22 and the first set of leaves is completely yellow with burnt tips now. they were flushed 2 days ago and the yellow creeping seems to have stopped. they were stunted the past few days due to this. Only reason I gave them nutes was because I had a test plant and I gave it nutes and it responded well so figured the rest of them would be fine. NO way. first thing I have learned is every plant is different even if they are the same seeds. My tests plant so far has had 4 feeding with Miracle grow 2 at 1/8 a teaspoon/gallon and 2 at 1/4 a teaspoon/gallon. She is the biggest, most green and healthy plant out of the whole bunch. I can't kill it!
I am a newbie my self and still learning. just pleas do not give your plants anymore food till you have a better answer. Good luck!!

I believe what your referring to as "burnt" is just the leaves where the seed pod was attatched to the actual plant. This is usually gone by the 3rd week of its life. Nothing to worry about. They look healthy otherwise.

That is what blows because when I get one strain going well another one wants to act up. The other strains in the system are lovingthe sauce and they look like they are hungry for a bit more. The plant was doing fine but it seems once the roots took off it started to yellow on me. Thats why I figured they were hungry. The new growth looks great one and perky on the plant. Im not sure if cannabis will take food from the lower or older growth to feed the new growth or not but it kind of seem that way.
always pay closest attention to your newest growth, thats where the answer is.
Cool. Like I said above the new growth is coming in very nice. This strain happen to be the Dinafem Critical + but itis in the system with a strain that is known to be a nute junky which is Nirvan's AK-48. This lady is just going to have to catch up. I got a great "Heisenberg Tea" brewing up so the plants and their roots should love the bennies and im hoping the nutrient uptake will increase. Thanks for the help RIUers

Burn will go crisp from the outer margins in, n-def will cause the leafs to lighten up (loose their healthy green color and turn yellow, but without the crisp)

so if new growth forms and the tips of the new growth are yellow is this n def leaves are not crispy.

Kind of funny one of my clones started out with yellow then 3 weeks after transplanting into Fox Farm soil and using only
pure water the yellow has gradually disappeared and is now a rich green. In this case, it looks like the ferts in the fresh soil
did the job in giving the plant the neuts it lacked to begin with? Just good soil and water got rid of the yellow and turned it green.

From my observations and if I am correct, new growth from the tip always starts out fairly yellow then turns greener as the
new growth grows so this is common and not a concern.

well I only ask because the new leaves that have just grown out have yellow tip the rest of the leaf tips look like nute burn is this just residule from the prior burning?

you can get by with no nutes of any kind ... use pure water and some Great White or ZHO or both....
I just added 3 gallons of a nice Microbe tea that was brewed for 54 hours. It was suppose to only be 48 but I could not get home in time. Its the "Heisenberg" reciepe.
