I'm confused

I saw that if I put my fresh buds in mason jars they will cure and dry out within a week

Is that true or do I have to take the long route and hang them up somewhere for like two weeks

I just don't see how putting them in a container will dry them out just saying

But then again I haven't heavily looked up curing really

OK.. you can't just put them in jars or they will mold aND WILL NEVER DRY IN A WEEK. Hang them for about 4-5 days then throw them in tupperware or jars opening the jars for 20-3- mins 3 times a day for the first week after drying. then you should be able to only open the once aweek or so. It only takes about a week before it's really smokable, but really can be tried ater 3-4 days if your desperate. But don't just put them in jars please dry em 1st

Alright the last time I hung them up till I chould snap the stem but it dryed out alot

But thanks I will remember that and maybe this harvest will be better

Dry them till the stems bend but not snap. the outside of the vbud should have a slight crisp. Sounding similar to hay, but you should still feel a soft bud when slightly touched. that's when you start cure. you should noticed a moist bud the 1st time you burp the jars. and should start getting a consistency over the next few days. after that your in the clear prettyy much just depends on your patience will depend on how much stronger it gets
