Don't worry about it Russia will end up paying for everything after we seize all the money and assets they have in allied countries and they have a lot of wealth stashed. Putin is said to be worth 200 billion alone and Uncle Sam will get a piece of that pie too along with the EU, there is probably a trillion bucks at least in recoverable Russian money and assets in allied counties, even the Swiss and usual tax havens are on board.
Money spent on Ukraine to destroy Russia's military is not an expense, it is an investment, every tank and piece of equipment they destroy is one less we have to be concerned with, since he can't replace most of it.

I thought Brexit was a stupid idea cooked up by the Russians, implemented by useful idiots, favored by the corrupt and voted for by xenophobic morons.

The money is already in the banks and the mansions and other stolen assets are in the west. One of Russia's many problems was all the corrupt money left the country and none was invested in it, even in the education system, much less in business enterprises. It is why Russia is weak and it's army will be destroyed in Ukraine by summer. It's also why a vast country with 150 million people and a great wealth of natural resources had an economy smaller than Italy's and that is due to shrink by half soon enough.

A strong prosperous liberal democratic Russia is the ultimate goal, not the destruction of a country and it's people. Getting rid of Putin and the left over KGB imperialists would be a good start on that path. I figure the last of the Soviets must pass out of power before meaningful change can happen in Russia, a country of broken souls and dreams.
