Inda-gro Induction...

Chaz - thanks for all your time and effort! You say that the buds are 25% more dense with the pontoons, is it just me or does it seem like there's a lot of leaf? Not hatin just curious how you tink it compares to commercial grown under 1000's?

Also, could you please show some close ups of lower branches or the buds from them (like more than 12" from the colas) Thanks! Really considering getting a couple of these so I can play through the summer.

I'm 12.days away from my next chop. I'm already out of buds. Smoking shake. Rolling joints against the buds on the plants. I'm very anxious.

Chaz they look bom. Good growing

Convinced of the tech, got 2 420's and 1 200 indagrow. 200 for a veg cab and the two 420's for flowering clones from the cab. My gf says I only get 1 room! Lol. Can't wait to see the yields off 1040 watts total!

4x4 tables OK under each 420?

Any light height suggestions with these indagro's would be appreciated.....vegging from seed under a 420 now and they love this light.

Thanks yall and Spliff for putting in work with these.

With or without pontoons?

Seems like Spliff was running at 14"(during flower), and had a dense canopy. I know he mentioned it a couple times in the vids.

I am wondering this as well. It seems like most are doing 1-2' but the igrow (I know no one here likes them) video comparing spread to a 1000 was at 6" - and that was his sellin point that you could get that much closer and still have a nice spread without burning the plants.

Has anyone heard anything about the I Beam's from Brotherhood? Light, composite reflector sounds interesting but doesn't seem like anyone has done a journal or posted about them.

No pontoons. They're about a foot off now and canopy temps are 85-91....so co2 is in order. There is like no space between leaf sets, very impressive. I will dig through those vids, thanks just super excited about these. overmyhead I think the IBeams have to swap bulbs for flower, which personally put me off em. I went through all the info on induction in like a madman matrix style and can't remember every detail, even was going to source bulbs/ballast for some hoods I had lying around and make my own but I ended up with Indagro's after all is said and done. I don't dislike Ibeams or anything, just my $0.02.

Chaz, badass. I would like to personally thank you too for puttin in the work.

Hey Two Stroke you are more than welcome. Trying to get my gardens to come in with lower wattage/temps has led me to the induction door. Getting burned with some previous shit products got me to inda-gro.

Day 21 of the Blue Dream, Sage and Medicine Woman and this is on a 12/12. Been hard to get them to move over to a 13/11 but I'm pretty sure they'll be adjusting to my recommendation this week since their losing the benefit of the long day short night on these strains. Set up the Pontoons on every other light and from what I'm seeing they are doing quite nicely under this program.

Hi Ya'll! Starting to trim and wanted to show off a bit of the BD and Lemon OG nug porn. Hope to everything ready for jars by tomorrow. Having seen these same strains through under HPS and the IG420 without the pontoon I have got to admit that the pontoon made a big difference in increased oil and terpene production and this was entirely on a 12/12. My next run I'm pushing the same strains to flower on a 14/10 to see where that leads.

Smoke report and final weights in a couple weeks.

Hola mi Amigos!

Got everything trimmed bottled and weighed yesterday and here's how we shook out.

Black Domina: 185 g
Lemon OG: 190 g
Big Bud: 140 g
Shunk Kush: 130 g
Total: 645 g

From my previous grows I'd estimate I'm up about 2.5 oz with the pontoons. Buds seem frostier/denser with more oil production too. From here I get into a 2 week veg than I'm running a 14/10 to see how that turns out.

Just to clarify; there was a total of 12 plants in the tent under two 420/Pontoon combo's for a total of 860 watts. There were six on one side that saw a 3.5 week veg and then I filled up the other side of the tent on a one week veg before I flipped to flower. The 3.5 week veg produced about 3X the weight as the 1 week veg. I believe I would have seen around 2 lb's had both seen a 3.5 week veg

Woo-hoo!!! This just looks awesome. Congrats Chaz!

I have no experience at all with HIDs. How does this yield compare to a similar plant-per-plant yield under HID? Given what of heard from other folks who work exclusively with HID this seems like a good yield even if you were running 1000w HIDs. No?

Btw, my girls are starting to get pretty fat and frosty. This is my first grow, and I'm running the exact same set up as you: 2 4x4 tents with 420s and the 660nm pontoons. A buddy with fifteen years grow experience checked out my garden last week and, A) loved my SCROG action; B) was blown away by the induction lights. He couldn't believe how cool it was inside the tents.

Anyways, congrats again Chaz. Very inspiring stuff!

Thanks V! I have been a mission to try and deliver my gardens with repeatable top shelf bud using low wattage, low temp lighting. To be honest with you there is no comparison between the HID and Inda-Gro runs especially with the pontoons in that the bud is so damn delicious. As to yields comparison on weight I think a new 1000 watt HPS might top a bit in weight but the Inda-Gro ran 60% less power and no AC or venting. However with the Pontoon on a 14/10 that may not be the case anymore either. This last run on a 12/12 produced about 90% of what my 1000 watt HPS run would have done so I'm pretty sure the new schedule will surpass the HPS run in weight too. BTW it is a pleasure to garden in an environment where you don't have to fuck with the temps. My next run is almost ready and it'll be a GSC on a 14/10. Stay tuned. This is going to be epic.

On the 14/10 tip, I've been running that way since about the third week of flower (started 12/12). I feel like this particular advantage of the pontoons has not been made explicit enough. Since the 730 nm diodes that kick on after lights out flip the phytochrome to its active state in minutes instead of the two hours the process normally takes, we should be able to claw back those ~2 hours for increased photosynthesis. That's about 16% increase in photosynthetic productivity. Seems to me.

Hey V! Good point and I think you're right about most people not recognizing the advantage of the 730's at lights out. I've told some people about it who simply can't get their heads around the fact that this type of photoperiod adjustment can be made indoors. I usually lay it out that if you're giving up two hours a night to relax into Pfr flowering state and you're on a 60 day flowering cycle you just lost 120 hours or 5 days to nothingness LOL. At least that gets them to thinking about it from a different perspective.

On another note:

Damn shame this GSC got this bad but it's mine now. I want to share it since this will be a major rehab as they were definitely mothered out way too soon. So for all practical purposes I consider today my Day 1. I'll run another 2-3 weeks on an 18/6 H&G regimen and then flipping Tent 1 to a 14/10. These gurlz are coming back!

Tent 1: 5 x 5 Agro-Max
2 Gal Air Pots side by side with with soil and cocco

2 ea., GSC
Genetics: OG X GDP X Durban Poison
Pheno: Thin Mint
Currently at 3 weeks of veg had been under a 600 watt MH

2 Grand Daddy Mendo
Genetics: Grand Daddy Purple x Mendo Purps

1 ea., Blueberry Diesel
Genetics: DJ's Blueberry x Sour Diesel

1 ea., Dream Queen
Genetics: Space Queen x Blue Dream

Tent 2 (4 x 4) veg/clone
Strains: 213 OG and GSC

Hey DJ thanks for popping in. If it isn't a hydro run ( I gotta replace the chiller) I'll usually stick to 5 gal smart pots. The airpots came with the deal. I haven't used them before so we'll see.

Yeah, you'll see water squirt out the sides like a hole in a damn :(

Had high hopes for them to replace fabric smartpots, thinking they would be easier to clean, easy to unscrew for a transplant and would last forever.

You can dump water in a fabric smartpot, not with these, gotta trickle it in or it's a mess.

Bummer they are so messy, mine are for outdoor use only now.

A new thouie may top it in weight unless it was 2 420's and a 200 vs the thouie haha.
