Hello, first post / first grow.

Shop that sold me these auto seeds said they were sativa, however simple google image search points to indica. Thoughts?

Strain is strawberry’ish.
they do have that indica look to them but it's hard to say for sure.......your plants look healthy so that's what really counts

I've been told there's almost no such thing as a pure indica or sativa these days, that at market level it's 99% hybrids with dominant tendencies one way or the other, so it's a highly mixed gene pool. You might end out with a plant with indica looking leaves, but a sativa feeling high. It could depend on what characteristics the breeder was focused on as they chose their phenos, and how good a job they did at developing and stabilizing them.

Thanks for the reply Rob, makes total sense on indica/sativa dominant strains. Just wrapped up reading about that actually.

I’m growing for the sole intent on making cannabutters/oils however I do have a brother that is a recreational smoker. He will definitely be the guinea pig.

I occasionally vape rosin I press, but for the most part for years I've only done edibles. Edibles are a trip, you really learn about people's tolerances when you give a handful of people a brownie and 90 minutes later one is tripping his brains out and another is asking for more because they still don't feel it. I mostly just make them for myself, at least I've got my tolerance figured out.

That said, 99.99% of what I grow goes to my med patient/wife, who is a multi-decade hardcore smoker, she's not a big fan of edibles.

For sure. I smoked it maybe 20 years ago or so for recreational use but now will use butter/oil for daily pain management as I’ve aged. Career choice has taken a toll physically and I’m not a fan of pills.

Like humanrob said, most strains you buy now are broken up hybrids of sativa and indica, breeder just sticks a name to something to sell imo. The old "land trace" pure blood strains are hard to find if not impossible nowadays. However with that being said it "looks" like its showing indica characteristics with the broad leaves and the short nodes.
