Hey you guys I'm a young person trying to get an idea going and keep it perpetual .. I hate the idea of trying to find smoke when you do not have so I want to always have it and a little extra to keep on expanding and growing the operation bigger right now I'm pursuing a degree in Botany and horticulture currently and will have my own little strain someday and seed .. I thought I would ask the community what they thought of these, and to get some feed back

Strains Indica and sativa's from seed.
sativas being about 1.5 -2 ft
indicas about 1- 1.5 ft
* and just a few cucumbers*

Conditions
Median- Soil based
Ph 6.5-7
Lightng-400w MH on veg 36 hours on 2 off
Side lighting with cheap floresent and plant light.
soil-1/4 scrub mix 1/4 perlite 1/2 potting soil fairly bland ... should have went 1/2 perlite 1/2 potting soil or something of that nature.
Nutrients and water- MaxiGro 10-5-14 NPK in full dose every 3 days, and water every 24-36 hours.
Room 3x6 but 21 plants grown in 2x4 before unsexed.

Just about 7 weeks old tell what you guys think here I figure to be well off on turn over light cost .. personal smoke ... and turnover to expand .. I'm shooting for 2 lbs with a 4 month grow cycle in soil median from seed!..am I crazy ... I think that will be enough as well to expand and profit to go again .. and then again.

great for the flower show but from a gardeners prospective your limiting your you bud locations by crowding and if any issues came up individual treatments would be harder, they look beautiful good job

with the following two comments:

Ph 6.5-7
Lightng-400w MH on veg 36 hours on 2 off

just curious why you're running such a high ph, and weird light cycle, although the plants look healthy

The Weird light cycle is doing good things I believe with a longer light cycle you can still get good developement as you can see, and I did some checking and we have them on 48 on 3 hours off The dark reaction takes place in the stroma within the chloroplast, and converts CO2 to sugar. This reaction doesn't directly need light in order to occur, but it does need the products of the light reaction (ATP and another chemical called NADPH If I recall right. which is created durring the day, the dark reaction involves a cycle in photosynthesis called the Calvin cycle this happens at either day or night but off period in which CO2 and energy from ATP are used to form sugar. Actually, notice that the first product of photosynthesis is a three-carbon compound called glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate. Almost immediately, two of these join to form a glucose molecule like a sugar. So some time off the light is used in this case ... you can skip this if you just run 24 hour light all day every day. Plants lessen the amount of water that evaporates by keeping their stomates closed during hot, dry weather durring the day but at night they open. Unfortunately, this means that once the CO2 in their leaves reaches a low level, they must stop doing photosynthesis. Even if there is a tiny bit of CO2 left, the enzymes used to grab it and put it into the Calvin cycle just don't have enough CO2 to use hence I turn the lights off to give a nice refresh period in my eyes and they re-engerize get the CO2 they need and get ready for another 2 days of light. My goal here is a 4 month harvest in soil from seed ... Lets see... maybe ill get a Nobel prize ... hahah.. Ill keep this tread updated though ... Thx for the comments though..

It has been a few years since I have done anything like this .. I have been out of school for awhile and out of botany for a bit .. Forgot alot of material . oh yea The Ph level is just hard to adjust in soil or to get a good read with run off water using powder ph kit and liquid dies I use both and it gives me that reading ... so Ill try to lower a little more but its ok for now .. could be lower .. but it works.

Are these results faster than than the norm in your opinion.

Oh and thx for that comment on the growing space and your 100% right on the treatement or if I had to treat(fingers crossed) if would be be problematic as for root room we should be good .. while im not to worried about space for foilage and light I can see your concern It should all fair out after I sex a few of them creating a little more space for lighting and growth.

My thoughts exactly. Better hope like obama. lol.

Next thread "how come my fans blow so much dust off my plants? I dont see any on the leaves" hehe

He has red stems and a low phosphorus count on the npk of that bag... :) Is that nothing? :)

The phosphorus is low .... its bleeding out low to tell the truth ... sort of how I want it right now. I'm getting another nutrient that has a little higher phosphorus and Potash for flowering and I'll start giving them that for about 2 weeks of the of the veg cycle to stimulate a frenzy of growth hopefully and then switch to 12/12 with the same nutrients. What do you guys think. Maybe I'm completely crazy, but I'm just trying to stay in the running for the next Nobel prize.. LOL.... with these crazy ideas.... some of these ideas i had for my friends they did not want to try .. other ideas I get from people and throw a with a twist on it that makes since to me .. what I know .. read ... have studied , hear on the grape vine .... oh and that me and my friends have experimented with .... so here is the results and the madness I have come up with ... Keep reading or bookmark this page .. I will update again here soon.
