Hi guys, do you know where I am supposed to put my inkbird humidity and temperature controllers? If I have them inside of the tent then there will be light inside of the tent coming from the controllers when they are in the dark stage, where it says the temps and humidity. And if I have the controllers outside of the tent, the temp and humidity sensors won't reach inside of the tent. (to the top of the tent), I'm kind of confused where to put them

I'm going to try and have to do the same thing, it's just that my oil filled radiator and my humidifier leads are short and they barely reach just outside of the vent hole, maybe I need some kind of extension lead to link them all up :bigjoint:

I keep my Inkbird outside the tent, have the sensor wire fed through one of the ventilation openings. I'd rather have any of my sensors at canopy height rather than top of the tent (above the lights/fan/filter) so that it's reading and adjusting to 'plant conditions' rather than all the heat and humidity that's above the active grow area.

I totally agree with you dude, what I mean by top of my tent is feed the sensor through the top of the tent, through the vent hole and then have the sensor dangling down at canopy height, but I'm struggling to do this because I don't know where to put the inkbird, my wires are short and they won't link up unless I have it on the floor at the back of the tent and then feed the sensor through the bottom and stick it to the wall at canopy height with some tape or something?

I use one of those rope ratchets that's hanging from a center pole, then run the wiring in down below and have the sensors then just up to where the lower carabiner hangs. There's enough play from there that I can use the rope/ratchet to lower and raise the sensors depending on plant size. If the hanger is in the way when I'm watering or moving plants I swing it up and out of the way on one of my lights for a quick bit.

I've got an idea of what I'm doing now, instead of going through the top part of my tent with the sensors and hanging it down, I will go for one of the bottom vent holes and work my way up with the sensor at canopy level, thank you guys, I've got the wifi versions also So I can monitor it all from my phone :)

Mine in my grow room. I have it hooked to a dehumidifier and it works really well.

I do my best to keep sensors as centrally located as possible, but also not super near a humidifier (or dehumidifier, though mine are outside the tent by default), so that you're getting more of a reading of what's going on in the space rather than just what's happening within a few inches of the controlled devices.
