Introducing 20/4 light period.

I have had it on 24/7 for awhile now and i'm going to put in some dark time and I was wondering do I have to have the same exact of dark time everyday at the same time?

How does this work?

if you had the light cycle on 24/0 im assuming it was a seedling, if it has grown a bit you can put the light cycle on 18/6 NOT 20/4(unless its lowryder)

sorry i realized i didnt answer your question haha. Yes the light and dark time mush be the same everyday. Because your trying to replicate the sun and the sun rises and sets around the same time everyday. As your going into summer it will rise a few minutes earlier and set a few minutes later and visa versa going into fall

yes, put your plants on 20/4. it would be recommended to get a light timer so you don't have to worry about it not being the same time every day. but you would probably want it to as to not stress your plants.

they have brinks light timers at wal mart for 5 bucks.

Alright thanks guys i'll have to go to walmart and get a light timer then, it will be way to diffcult to try and get the exact same timing every time.

That link says its random and comes off and shuts off at different times.

Halfcomputerman do u have a link to that item at walmart? or any other place?
