Introductions

Hi guys.

I started growing for the second time about 4 weeks ago.

The first time feels like a lifetime ago now. I was a student and had basically no budget. My setup was pretty ridiculous - I grew in a walk in wardrobe (where I still kept my clothes) but I still managed to grow some pretty tasty white widow.

This time around I have a bit of a better budget, though still not as much as I'd like. I'm growing in a small tent in a coco perlite mix under a budget LED, using two autoflower strains - northern lights and critical x jack herer.

I'm here because I can't talk to anyone about this (because of legality) and I'm craving some conversation with fellow growers. Also, I'm experiencing some issues with my grow that I'm struggling to diagnose that I'd appreciate some help with.

I'm glad to be here, looking forward to joining the conversation and meeting some like minded people.

Thanks guys. Here's a few photos of my setup and my 3 ladies, they're all roughly 3 weeks old. I have two northern lights and one critical x herer. The critical x jack herer is a bit of a crazy mutant. After the first few nodes she's become a trifloiate (at least I think that's the right term). Also the younger (by a few days) northern lights seems pretty stunted compared to the others.

This is a much more involved grow than my first time and I'm sure I'm making a bunch of mistakes. I'm also realising that the LED I'm using is kind of underpowered and I need to think about upgrading it when I have the funds - maybe to a quantum board as I've read that they're legit. I've just started early LST on the two older girls, they seem to be responding fairly well so far.

I'm currently trying to work out if I'm dealing with nute burn or deficiencies, and if it's the latter then is it because of a lockout due to PH etc. It could easily be both I suppose, there's so many variables at play. I will probably start a thread on the problems section (and maybe a grow journal) but I'm doing my best to figure out what's going on myself with the information I can find. I'm just worried I'm hurting the plants and I might not end up with any kind of real harvest.
