Iran Update...

Yes, I have and that will be just as effective as the U.N. negotiations which have been going on for 5 years. When a dictator or despot is working on their own desires, negotiations only increase their odds at being successful. Actions not words need to be followed. Iran's actions are an indication towards war, not peace. Of course Obama knows this, window dressing is needed for the public profile. Iran knows this too, so i expect that they will be seen as entering into negotiations with good faith. This will be a lie. Mahamoud has expressed over and over that Iran will NOT be deterred from their goal.

Both are no longer recited in our schools...for a long time now.

You have missed my point though, obviously, dont you see that perception through the media is how we see one another? As I have just said America is seen as a bible bashing Nationalistic super power whose children are taught to love the flag as much as there parents. Now I know this to be untrue but I also know that radical Iranians are in the minority as Western values infiltrate Tehran.

wow where do you get this info from?
If anything kids are taught to hate america. I don't want to get into a pissing match with you, but can you explain how the UK is being over run by Islam? I'm thinking your students are being taught the same lack of principals and pride.
Hell both countries need more nationalistic discipline taught in schools if anything.

The media.........not my views!!! This whole thread has been about perception and that is my point here. The population of Islamic believers in the Uk is only 6% +/- 1% at the last census, but political correctness has gone mad. The Uk is far from being over run, for that you need to go to France where there are real problems with racial/religious bigotry from both sides.

Dude, are you kidding me right now?

I've grown up in California my entire life, one of the most secular states in the union and I've always been told to love my country and believe what the president and government does is in the best interest of the people, I can't even imagine what kind of a chance people in the bible belt might have at escaping the dogma of the state and state sponsored religion, Christianity! Virtually none.

"More nationalistic discipline taught in schools if anything"

"Believe what you're government tells you kids!" "They know what's best!" "They're looking out for you" "They wouldn't lie to you..." :wall:

Think this over man...

For real tho, the very little bit of news I get about the UK it's pretty much tied to Islam. I don't trust my own media stations, so I sure as hell don't trust the BBC. anyway, I don't remmeber the details but I recall something about wearing a face covered veil for a drivers license being ok and other islamic based laws have been worked into the system.
you know what I could be wrong and that was here in the states. It's all a fog of lies and cannabis.

I'm not really sure where you're getting your information from but I'm pretty sure the rules in this country (including for driving licences) are the same for everyone.

There was an incident a couple of years back where some Muslims wanted to be able to apply Sharia law to their finances, but I wasn't allowed to go through, and the laws here remain CONSISTENT for EVERYONE.

I pulled this from the Times (UK) written last sept. Perhaps you are unaware what is going on in your own country? It explains alot of your posts....
===============================================================

ISLAMIC law has been officially adopted in Britain, with sharia courts given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases.
The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence.
Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court.
Previously, the rulings of sharia courts in Britain could not be enforced, and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims.
It has now emerged that sharia courts with these powers have been set up in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester with the network’s headquarters in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Two more courts are being planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi, whose Muslim Arbitration Tribunal runs the courts, said he had taken advantage of a clause in the Arbitration Act 1996.
Under the act, the sharia courts are classified as arbitration tribunals. The rulings of arbitration tribunals are binding in law, provided that both parties in the dispute agree to give it the power to rule on their case.

Equal?

What does a Teacher in Sudan have to do with the situation in Iran?

Unless you're so ignorant that you lump all countries that practice similar religion in together...... oh yeah you're an American (oops!)

Sounds Equal to me, no one can be forced to enter into this contract....also there's no reason why a NON-MUSLIM can't use this court (enter into this legal CONTRACT), if they want to.....

What is unequal about that?

driving/driver license is state run; ergo 50 different set of rules provided by state constitutions. Don't know how the rest of the world deals with driving, but we all have one thing in common.

Google: Muslim woman must unveil for license photo.
you will see links for cases in france, uk, america, AU and even lol in saudi arabia.
