is a 400w hps too much for a 4x4 grow tent?

I'm not saying it is impossible to do. It is just most setups I see is inadequate in the air exchange/CO2 supply factor...
Having more light than CO2 to convert seems to be major stressful( I think most people call it light burns).

I own a small grow light company so I get to tour more setups than the average person.
