Joe Biden is the best president this country has ever had when it comes to screwing over normal Americans that try to just live a comfortable normal life.

In 1983 he voted to slap income taxes on 50% of Social Security income, income that had previously been tax-free.

In 1994, he voted to up the amount of Social Security benefits subject to taxation, to 85%.

In 2000, he turned his attention to estate taxes, voting AGAINST the Estate Tax Elimination Act that would have phased out certain estate taxes by 2010.

Now, he wants to raise over $4.7 TRILLION in taxes on big business's and corporations, you may say "hey, that wont effect me, I'm just a normal slob hat makes a normal income. True, but when the big business's and corporations raise their prices due to the tax increase, we the normal slobs that make normal income will be paying more for our goods.

Am I wrong? I hope so.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the normal slobs that big corp need to be spared in order to protect the normal slobs. Now all his henchmen are filthy rich and powerful. Jesus won't stand a chance when he returns to spread his socialist ideologies in modern day language.

You get what you put into social security...if you don't work, you get shit when you retire.
So all those people doing gig jobs and working for cash are going to be royally fucked when they retire.
That is if there is funds in the SS account. The US government (from what I understand from across the border) used the SS money and said it will cover the liabilities using taxes. Here in Canada we have SS also but the money was invested by an arms length government entity and not used by the government to fund programs. Kids like my niece who lives with my mother and makes a few bucks selling clothing has no savings and will have no SS payments coming. Her saviours might be her uncles not living as long as grandma and might get an inheritance. Otherwise she will be royally screwed.

And all the money being held in shell corps and stashed offshore. Yeah those poor corporations have it tough.

House Oversight chair vows to keep investigating Hunter Biden despite ‘sweetheart plea deal’

House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) vowed on Tuesday to continue investigating Hunter Biden, despite his “sweetheart plea deal” reached with federal prosecutors.

“These charges against Hunter Biden and sweetheart plea deal have no impact on the Oversight Committee’s investigation,” Comer said in a statement. “We will not rest until the full extent of President Biden’s involvement in the family’s schemes are revealed.”
The president’s son reached a deal to plead guilty to two minor tax crimes and has agreed to enter a pretrial diversion program over a separate charge for illegally possessing a firearm while addicted to a controlled substance, according to court documents filed on Tuesday.

“Let’s be clear: the Department of Justice’s charges against President Biden’s son Hunter reveal a two-tiered system of justice,” Comer added. “Hunter Biden is getting away with a slap on the wrist when growing evidence uncovered by the House Oversight Committee reveals the Bidens engaged in a pattern of corruption, influence peddling, and possibly bribery.”

Republican lawmakers have repeatedly accused federal law enforcement agencies of targeting conservatives in a “two-tiered system of justice” in recent weeks, after former President Trump was indicted on 37 counts related to his handling of classified materials.
Trump voiced similar grievances on Tuesday, suggesting that the Justice Department gave Hunter Biden a “mere ‘traffic ticket.’”
he took care of all the outstanding complaints, what the fuck else do the republicans want? A public lynching, of father and son, with no proof of any more wrong doing than what Hunter just admitted to. Their symbolic animal should be a kangaroo in judges robes...

McCarthy doubles down on Biden family probes after Hunter guilty plea deal
Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said a plea deal on tax charges for Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, will not slow down House Republicans’ investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings.

“It continues to show the two-tier system in America,” McCarthy said of Hunter Biden’s plea deal. “If you are the president’s leading political opponent, the DOJ tries to literally put you in jail and give you prison time. But if you are the president’s son, you get a sweetheart deal.”

“Now this does nothing to our investigation,” McCarthy told reporters Tuesday morning. “It actually should enhance our investigation because the DOJ should not be able to withhold any information now saying that there’s a pending investigation. They should be able to provide [House Oversight Committee] Chairman [James] Comer [R-Ky.] with any information that he requires.”

Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty to tax crimes and reached a diversion agreement related to unlawful possession of a weapon.

His attorney, Christopher Clark, said in a statement that his understanding was that the matter was resolved, but United States Attorney David C. Weiss’s office said in his own statement on Tuesday that the investigation is still ongoing.

Later on Tuesday, McCarthy suggested that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is claiming that the investigation is ongoing to try and withhold information from the House.

“How can Hunter Biden plead guilty, no jail time, and the DOJ say there’s still an investigation, try to withhold information to the House? That’s unacceptable and will not stand,” he told reporters.

Pressed on if he thinks that is the DOJ’s intention, McCarthy responded “it has to be.”

“Because you cannot plead guilty, say you’re not gonna do jail time, and then say you can’t give papers to the U.S. House of Representatives — that’s not gonna stand, that’s not gonna work,” he said.

Asked what the American people can expect from Republicans going forward on investigations, McCarthy said GOP lawmakers will “continue to follow whatever information leads us to.”

Republicans have long probed the foreign business dealings of President Biden’s family and their associates, but have so far not produced evidence that the president directly benefited from those dealings or knew any details. The president has denied knowledge of Hunter Biden’s business activities.

In the past several weeks, the GOP has seized on an FBI tip that President Biden was involved in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. The tip came from what lawmakers in both parties describe as a credible source with secondhand knowledge of the allegation, but has not been verified.

“We found out lo and behold, even though the FBI tried to hold from us, that in a 1023 form, that people have said that they had to pay the president’s family money for favors,” McCarthy said, in reference to the unverified claim.

McCarthy also referenced financial records obtained by Republicans that they say showed millions of dollars moving through shell companies and benefiting members of the president’s family. The records did not show money flowing to President Biden himself.

Comer — who said the “sweetheart plea deal” was a “slap on the wrist” — also said his committee will plow ahead with its investigation into Hunter Biden despite the recent development.

“Hunter Biden is getting away with a slap on the wrist when growing evidence uncovered by the House Oversight Committee reveals the Bidens engaged in a pattern of corruption, influence peddling, and possibly bribery,” Comer said in a statement Tuesday morning.

“These charges against Hunter Biden and sweetheart plea deal have no impact on the Oversight Committee’s investigation,” he continued. “We will not rest until the full extent of President Biden’s involvement in the family’s schemes are revealed.”

McCarthy on Tuesday sought to draw a comparison to the federal indictment of former President Trump earlier this month, part of the Justice Department’s investigation into the mishandling of classified documents. Trump pleaded not guilty to all 37 charges.

President Biden is also under investigation by the DOJ for the potential mishandling of classified documents, though the two cases bear significant differences: Trump is accused of obstructing attempts by authorities to regain the documents, including asking his attorneys to lie about their existence or destroy them, while Biden’s attorneys alerted authorities when records were discovered and handed them over.

McCarthy, nonetheless, juxtaposed the two on Tuesday as part of his argument that the justice system is two-tiered.

“You have a sitting president today that now has a son that gets a sweetheart deal, that now the president today has [his] top political opponent indicted and has potential jail time. And you have the same problem yourself but there’s no movement on that,” McCarthy said. “So I think that to all Americans seems as though it’s a two-system, and that’s what wrong.”

We will look and look until Trump is president again.

Trump's lawyers recommended that he negotiate with the DOJ long before the search warrant was cut in order retrieve the US government documents (along with his pants, lol). With all of his issues, Hunter showed he is capable of making better decisions than Donald "fight for every inch in court" Trump.

Two tier? I'll say. Trump treated with kid's gloves and given every chance to return the documents he stole while exiting the WH. Biden is being charged for illegal possession of a gun when everybody knows that statute against a drug user is rarely enforced for nonviolent offenders. Anyone who posts here know this.

Also this:
Allies of Hunter Biden, however, pointed to data suggesting it is rare for the Justice Department to bring a weapons charge against a nonviolent offender absent other patterns of lawbreaking, especially since the Supreme Court upended gun regulations in a landmark case last year.
Source, NPR

Rhetorical question. Asking those in this forum to consider this. If you own a gun and smoke MJ you are guilty of the same crime. How often do you hear of a nonviolent, otherwise law abiding person being arrested solely on this charge? So, yeah, two tier. Hunter Biden is being screwed to appease radical GOP MAGA.

Right? 2200 posts in that thread. This community is unconcerned about that law. "Never enforced" is probably too broad of a statement but 2200 posts kind of says "not often".

I guess next up is people posting pics of their guns here. I hope people do.

Two tier favoring the Bidens, my ass.

The consequence to that statement is that big business's and corporations will regroup that money by increasing the price of the goods they are selling the public....And we the public will be paying for their tax increase.

horse shit, Gary.

You aren't as simple as that. Tax cuts don't grow the economy and tax increases don't flatten it. Its much more complex than that. Same with inflation. You know that. Productivity gains are driven more by education and a healthy, motivated work force than anything else. Your dumbass GOP MAGA are blowing smoke and trying to call it a fire.
