What I am getting to is that it seems like chem or some chem hybrid (og/dez) is being put into almost everything now days. So in your opinion, is "chem" the "new skunk" in the way its used in breeding?

I would have to say no. I would agree that they are both popular. Chem is def top shelf. When it comes to breeding, skunk is used more to stabilize a strain a breeder has cossed. Skunk is in most hybrids somewhere down the line. Chem is used to increase potency mostly. Both popular, but i would say their both in a league of their own. Both with equal importance when it comes to breeding.

In the sense that it is being bred into every type of strain imaginable, yes, it is very similar to skunk.

Of course there was a very good reason for skunk to be so popular, same as there is a very good reason Chem is popular.
