Nice looking bushes! I'd imagine they'll start to really kick into flower soon. Good job.

Those are definitely fat calyx. how far along is that plant anyway?
Those are fat,

OP any chance those got pollinated? Want to sacrifice one to science and dissect it? See if there's a seed growing inside?

On that part of the plant? Are you talking about "those" things where seeds normally form?

Or just lower on the plant like that, no bud formed?

Obviously not typical, but I could see that happening if it were pollenated right after becoming mature. Ive also had plump calyx/bracts as well so either way really.

yea , i meant that early on a "preflower". A female that has been pollenated will only form in the flowers. ive never seen one on the branch.... i guess its possible if it was hit early but i dont believe so.... im not 100% but im pretty sure.

I’ve definitely seen preflowers pollinated. As long as it’s got a viable pistil capable of receiving pollen and an ovule, which female preflowers do, then it can be pollinated. However, male preflowers don’t mature enough to actually release pollen until the overall plant has entered flower, from what I’ve seen.

im "guessing" the reason ive never seen a seed there is because of males being too inmature .......then later when the girl is finished , those calyx are too mature to recieve the pollen ?

Yeah I guess the only way I really suspect it would've happened would be from cross contamination from another grow, most likely indoors...

I know a guy right now, was pissed he got a male for his one plant, and I explained Id be mad if he lived in my town and seeded out my crop or something because hes too lazy to chop it down... he knows it wont produce but he doesnt care if that pollen gets released in the wind,

I've also known guys that throw away male plants from indoor grows outside, and come to find out some survive a little while so I could see it happening. Not so sure its from his crop at all.

i cant stand people like that but in his defense , he probably didnt know how bad it could hurt others before you told him.... hopefully trhats the case. i was raised in a very strict growers world. males are the devil HAHAHAHAHAH Treat um like a crazed naked man with aids......dont touch anything but remove it NOW!
Whats even crazier is that i got a buddy who is breeding rit now and having all kinds of problems getting seeds. Hes says its kinda tough to get seeds when your actually trying ..... that blew my mind.
