Why do you want to snap the branches , bad idea. Just make sure the plant is healthy vigorous and dark green going into flowering.

snaping branches is called super cropping, best to do very early during flowering, what is does it tells the plant to send more nutes and energy to that damaged branch you snaped. and the buds get bigger on the branch you snaped. instead of the plant using all resources to make leaves green big. it makes the buds big !

Whats the simpliest thing you van do to get bigger buds
Veg longer, for bigger roots....

Once in Flower.... I have found, there is nothing, in a side by side tests, that really helps your plants get bigger...
Genetics.... you can not out grow what your plant is pre determined to grow to...
...
Well, maybe add more light in Bloom... [too late for more time in Veg]
I grow the same plant/clone of clone every time...
I have noticed, that my yield will be almost exactly the same, every time...
It doesn't matter if I have LST/Fim'ed/ etc... big bloom, nutes... the same...
Now others may have a different opinion, however, you are in Bud... Cutting now of bud sites, seems counter productive... Doesn't it?
What are your plants saying?

you lose valuable bud sites, and stunt her growth is the worst that can happen,

best case scenario, you yield a couple grams higher.

your choice.
