Is it Illegal to travel in airplane with Hps Light/Sungro

I have a Hps Sunpro light Ballast included. It weighs like 50 lbs. I plan on moving to a different state. I wanted to know if it is illegal to travel with this in an airplane. I plan on sticking it inside a liggage bag. Im not including the box it came in. What do you guys think.

So you dont see a problem? I mean since they have all these crazy laws as to what size colognes bottles you take on board. I dont wana look all crazy taking a hps light .

I travel all over the world (photographer) and from my understanding it is not illegal to travel with lights. I never had a problem.

Just package it up so it does not break. Last flight I was on had 40 minutes straight of turbulence. /shiver

The dude has trailer park boys as his avatar those peckerwoods go to jail very month. The ballast might look suspicious but its just an electronic device. I'm thinking no on the lightbulb cuz there is a gas trapped in the bulb and it just seems like a bad idea.
