Is it possible to root clones with no powder/gel

I dont know if anybody said anything about honey, but organic honey works really good too. Last year I used two domes and two trays. One dome was rockwool with the cuttings dipped in honey and the other dome had rapidrooters dipped in clonex. The rockwool with honey out preformed the other.

Edit* yeah I saw honey in a post above, yeah it is expensive but you then have a bottle of honey to enjoy afterwards ;)

Also I made everything I could cause im cheap like that lol the green plugs are kids foams floor mats now cutting them out was a bitch so if you can afford it buy em ha ha
Lol, my shop sells neoprene inserts for like .13 cents. BTW I own a areocloner and I have lost more cuttings in it then everything else combined.. lol. I've had pump failure, power outages, high water heat, cold water and every other possibility. Dome and tray is all I use now, and Ive been killing it..

lol well that why the stores still sell plugs.

also yes you have to make sure your pump dosent die (which mostly happen cause the res ran dry or cause they are made in china :) ) but other then that you might just be special find my above post

Hey but I have to admit, I have grown some beast from areo cloners "you know when you leave a clone in for too long, and have to fight the roots just to get it out". Those plant gone insane! Areo cloners are badass if you do not have any problems. I have learned, dont go over board with the light because it might raise the water temps. I did best just using one single T5 above it.

I also like the t5 for the cloner.

As to the temps you can make a shell out of Styrofoam it can keep your res cool or if you use a rez heater it keeps it warm

its true clones actually root faster under less light,,i used to have a mh over my clones then moved the mh for my veg area and put just 2 2' t8's over my clone king 36 and they actually root faster w/ less light..,. i have to admit i used clonex gel and nute when i first got the clone king and they rooted 1 day faster than plain ph bal water and no gel so yes theyre a waste of cash for 1 day

Yep agree /\
The last thing that I was using last time where also t8s
I used t5s but I found the clones can damn near grow into a t8 with out really doing any damage.and like chem said theres no problems rooting fast

the thing I havent tried yet is led which
when my house is done and I got my new rooms up.
I want to try some new leds or a home made one

I feel ya man back when I was trying to go low on the electric I tried the old 90 led ufo .
wasnt to impressed BUT I did notice a significant increase in trichs. So now I use it to supplement my 1k

have you seen the blackdog led vs 1khps real time vid looks ppretty impressive but man its close to 2 gs

dont know if ive seen that one. but ive seen a couple side by sides pinning a 600 watt led against a 1k hps and the compares are bullshit in a 4x4 area because the 1k hps should be covering a larger areea to do a true compare and the led would never cover the same area as the hid...plus they are way to pricey...when u can get a 600 watt digital ballast for 80 bucks and lucky to find a 400 watt equivilant led for under a grand...ill wait 3-5 years and hope the price drops im overkilling a 5x5 foot area with 2 600 watt hids i could probably light a 6x6 area if i wanted to.. just put 27 plants into flower yesterday hope my wife can take a pic and put it on here for me in the next day or so..
