is it the light or the water?

ok i have a plant question.
out of 4 plants this one started showing signs that it needed watering (wiltingleaves)
more often then the others. real heart breaker cause it is (was) a beauty.
so i after reading up on it iv kinda decided its ether too much light or a watering problem. i was watering once a week then twice then i read up on this issue and dried it out till it was dry down 3 or for inches and slowly soaked it but did not feed. im growing in pro mix and was feeding advanced nutrients. the lighting is full spec cfl with 4 extra lil cfls for extra lighting for the lower parts of the plants. i just watered last night and there is a lil improvement but nothing to get excited about. so im out of ideas. should i dry it out again and re pot it? i usually keep them in there little pots till i know there sex then transplant once i see those sweet little pistols.

Over watering man.
Let the pot dry out completely. And then let it dry out a little more. Then water it. IMO.

TOO MUCH LIGHT?? too much heat maybe there is no such thing as too much light. it may be root locked or maybe it just need to be watered more than the others. there is a number of things that can go wrong when it looks like that.

thanks for the link. i was just going off of what i was reading on here as far as the lighting. thats my only problem on here trying to get a straight up answer can be a prob just cause of CONFLICT OF INTEREST !
lol . and i defenetly dry ed it out so guess ill just have to see what happens.

oh and like i wrote im using cfls so there is very little heat issues the top of the plants temp is 78 and the bottom is 77 or so and i got a undulating fan moving air around

you using nutes? i would look maybe into root lock put it into a bigger pot. if you dont know the sex of them yet i found males get bigger faster but that's just what i found, don't go killing your best plant. and for CFL grows i would lst them bitches. pm me if you need help anytime :hump:

sounds good how do we go about pm ing ? and yes im using nutes advanced nutes is the line of nutes. oh and is root lock the same as root bound?
i too have found males grow much quicker and more robust then the fems.

root bound is the same. pm is pirivet message in case you didnt get that

Yeah, definitely let the plants dry out a bit. It can be difficult sometimes to figure out how much to water plants, especially when they seem to be doing so well.

Some just think it makes sense to water more or feed more nutes if that seems to be helping. But there is such a thing has doing too much.

And it's always a better idea to water too little and add more than to water too much and then have to dry them out. :weed:

No big deal though overall, especially when you're catching these things so quickly.

lol everyone saying its root lock and too much light jesus christ way to complicate something as simple as OVERWATERING

let it dry out a bit check the soil if its moist or wet about 2 inchs down its fine if its dry water simple..


oh and if you wanna tell the plant will tell you

if its all droopy stems and leafs pointing down it needs water if its like your where the stems are still strong but the leafs are drooping its overwatering
