Is it to late to switch my seedlings potting soil from MG to something organic

I'm a new grower growing outside in chilliwack BC canada and stupid me bought normal miracle-gro potting soil then after doing research I've found out 95% people have been saying never use MG, first I used old potting soil that my parents had 4 days ago day 1 and 2 was 30°c the 2nd day the leaves started going white so I switched the soil to MG so 2 days ago I planted my seedlings in MG one day was sunny and hot next day which was today it rained on and off lightly, so is it to late to change the MG soil for something different? They are starting to look better in the MG potting soil( btw it's not MG moisture control) but still if it's not to late I'd want to change

Kinda looks like the sun bleached them... did you harden them or just throw them outside right in the sun?

Put them outside under the sun for 8-9 hours first 2 days was 85°f then yesterday it's been raining lightly should I leave them outside under my patio or leave them out in the rain or bring inside at night at night it's around 50°f

Next sunny day is friday should I put clear plastic 2l bottles over them on friday when its sunny out to make a DIY green house or just leave them,

I would get them out of the direct rain. 50 should be ok.. ideally you want to put them outside in indirect sunlight for the first time for an hour or two than the next day longer and so on.. just throwing them outside under the sun Will cook them cause there not used to the power of the sun.. I’d leave them outside, in the shade.. give them an hour or two on Friday than back to the shade.. next day longer, than half a day full sun, than full day..

Ok sweet thanks man, should I do the DIY greenhouse or leave them? And should I switch the MG potting soil for something better and organic?

if it’s windy and cool out and the plants in the shade sure the greenhouse won’t hurt but she will want air flow..but I’d be hesitant in the sun, last thing you wanna do is magnify that sunlight after her burn

Lots of people use mg just don’t add anymore nutes to it unless the plant looks like it needs it.. mg has slow release nutes and some feed up to 3 months. If you really really wanted them out of there you could transplant. I had a buddy using a mg soil and put nutes in he was literally burning it, we pulled it out gently, put the roots in a bucket of phd water and washed all the dirt off the roots and than gently replanted in fresh soil.. she was shocked and droopy but back after a week she came back and was fine, I gave her superthrive to help during the transplant

Ok maybe I'll just leave it in mg but if I do switch should I put the roots in water after being in mg 2 days well actually day an half? And I used just regular mg potting soil I've been reading lot of people use the moisture control mg I was going to use that but the roots are all in one those root growing foamy things so thought moisture control would of kept it from getting enough water so used regular mg

If it’s a day you could just replant.. we washed roots cause it had already incased the mg soil

Or don’t and just feed water.. check the N P K ratio on the mg soil

The advice here about conditioning them to the sun is more important than changing soil. If it looks OK or is improving, get them used to the light. Transplant to a larger container with better soil as needed.

also how much should i water them ? once ever morning once every couple days

Once every 3 days give or take.. Stick your finger in the dirt, is it damp? No water today... dry? Water em.. water till a bit comes out the bottom

They should harden off plenty even while it is overcast.. still a bunch of UV about.

ok sweet thank you and ya its going to be overcast today and tomorrow friday its gonna be sunny, right now its 61°f and overcast

theres some better pics i posted in my last msg how they looking? and should i trim any of the leafs the plant in the first pic one of the leafs its where its white is curled should i trim or will they fix themselfs

Let it grow until it is bigger and more durable. You can clip the leaves if you want to later, leave them for now.

I'd say wait till the weather gets better on Sunday in our area. Then repot them with Promix or Seasoil, leaving the roots as undisturbed as possible while removing as much soil as possible.
