Is my grow light too strong?

Hi to my fellow smokers.

I have been growing outdoors for several years. This year I decided to go indoor and have designed a 24 sf room (8' x 3') with over 8' in height. I recently bought a "BESTVA 1500W Double Chips LED Grow Light Full Spectrum Grow Lamp for Greenhouse Hydroponic Indoor Plants Veg and Flower" and am now wondering if 1500 w is too much light for my area, even if I raise the light higher over the plants than normally called for.

Please advise.

If I was you, I’d put 1 unit over each 2x3 area, for a total of 4 units. That would give you roughly 47 watts per square foot

Thanks guys for your input. Actually I misrepresented the light, I purchased 2 of these lights, so it appears that I may not have enough light with both lights.?

Buy 2 more Gary. One for each 2x3 will be perfect. Have the lights positioned so that the length of the light is parallel with the 3 foot space of the 2x3 area. That’ll give you maximum coverage.

you're probably going to want to look into an extraction fan and a carbon filter, leds produce a lot less heat than h.i.d. lights, but 4 of those units will still produce as much heat as a 1k hps. and when your plants start to flower, they're going to stink, unless you have no neighbors, or very cool neighbors, you're going to want to control that smell.

anytime you're looking at non cob or non quantum board leds, the wattage they show you is almost always an "equivalent" wattage, and its open to their interpretation, i've seen lights that are marked 1k draw anywhere from 200 to 350 watts, so keep that in mind anytime you're looking at premade leds.
