is my plant a female??

theres a new set of leaves comin out an one of the leaves has a set of 7 but the one opposite to it is a 5 set what does this mean?? plant is bout 3 weeks an 5 days i started flowering it 2 days ago cuz of lack of space..

THat has nothing to do with the sex of the plant. It just shows that it is maturing. You have to watch for preflowers at the plant's nodes, if you want to determine their sex. Get out a camera next week and take some nice close pics, and we'll help ya sex 'em. :)

ok thanks man i was really wondering cuz i know that females have sets of 7 or 9 and males 5 but thanks man ....so shuld i jus keep a look out for the white hairs then ina week ??

Just to clarify things...that myth about females having more leaf blades than males, isn't true. :)


Yep, watch for white hairs(or male seed pods) at the internodes, and it would also be a good idea to do some searching for pics that illustrate what you should be looking for. There's some really good examples around here, but I don't know where they are, ATM.lol

As jawbrodt said, the number of fingers on the leaves has nothing to do with which sex it is. You said that you "know" females are seven, or nine or more, whereas males are only five per leaf, that is absolutely untrue. Please do not post false information on here, you'll only get other people to start questioning what their plants are and starting more threads to verify something that it totally untrue.

thats just from what i have always heard from everyone that females always 7 or more and males 5 but i didnt know that ive never really grown this is my 1st accual grow but thanks any way man
