Hey all- this is my very first grow ever. I have a plant that is a few weeks old that started in the window (5ish hours a day of good sunlight). I live up on top of a hill here in tx and have been taking my plant and other seedlings outside @ around 8am and leave them outside all day with minor rearranging to get them to receive sunlight all day til like 5. (yes, i need a job). Then, At night I have a mini fridge converted to a CFL setup- some 65ers (red/wrong spectrum tho) and 42ers.
From da top- i dont know what it is. found a seed in a $120 qtr. mucho bueno.
I guess my main question is - IS sunlight uninhibited always the best form of light? And during the day is moving them around alot going to harm them. we hardly have any insects. Its fairly windy all the time so i thought it would be good for their stems. But having them outdoors in the wind really seems to dry the soil out. So is it okay to water MORE frequently? I stick my finger in (lol) the soil every day 2+ inches and it is way dry.My question goes for flowering too Same for flowering; assuming that I interact and bring them in/out accordingly to keep them at 12/12 cycle is that better than a HPS setup. Just curious cause like 15 min outside and i get a minor tan.
Or should i just leave them in side all the time in the fridge for veg and look into a HPS for flowering.
yeah, i know it s in the shade on the porch. just for the pic, it was a beautiful day almost reaching 70.thats fahrenheit.
but i dont know why those 2 leaves are so limp.
I am trying to adapt a way to put them up at the tree tops so people dont notice and i dont have to rearrange them. (pure sunlight all day) . I experimented by camo-ing out a bucket and zip tying it up top a tree on the side of the hill and it's not noticeable at all.
you know keeps more animals (okay, not birds) away and such, but mostly people. watering would be a bitch tho. Is this a good idea or am i just
. fawk it. im gonna do it and then take more pics. I have some bag seedlings growing for this.
I still need a to rig some pusher and puller fans to the back. but right now keeping the door cracked and having it in the garage keeps the inside a comfortable 76.
