Is there any way to determine sex before 12/12 bloom cycle

Hello fellow farmers!
I have a question regarding how to determine the sex of a plant. From what I have read it seems that the plants have to be introduced to the bloom cycle to determine the sex of the plant. Is there anyway to determine the sex of the plant before starting the bloom cycle?

some times the male plants will show sex way before any 12/12 is introduced. Im pretty sure "some one please correct me if im wrong" but i think some strains the females show preflowers at a certain age. wish i could be more of a help. try looking in the FAQ about flowering im sure theres something about it in there.

you're correct,
a lot of strains will signal when they are ready to reproduce by showing their pre-flower, it looks like any other calyx, just placed at the crotch of the primary and secondary stalks.

Put a zip lock bag thats painted black on a low branch for 12/12 for two weeks use the same time everyday.
