Is there any way to save my hermie crop???

Hey all, I had a question about calyxes in regards to hermaphrodites. I'm almost 7.5 weeks into flowering, close to harvest. But when I look at the tear-drop calyxes, which have swollen a whole lot, I see like a white streak on it, like it's about to split open. So I pick a calyx off, and peel the layers off, and of course, inside there's a tiny poppy seed-like green spec. I'm guessing this is an immature seed. It's still a green color and fresh, and very small. But I was wondering how long I have before this ruins my crop, and if I can still smoke this stuff with the immature seedlings. There's a lot of them, but the THC production and bud ripening has been going great... I thought seeds slow down the bud ripening process.... What should I do? Should I lengthen the dark hours and harvest early? At this point, the trichomes are still clear, and about 60% of the hairs are orange or red. Any advice/info to save my crop or get the most out of it?

Thanks a lot,
Andrew

If you are going to have seeds cause a plant hermied you can't change that. You could try finding the hermie and cutting its balls off. It doesn't mean you can't smoke it, it just means it will be like the commercial thats available in the market, so it won't be worth as much as 'sensi', its not complete garbage. VV

With what you've described, your crop is fine. Harvest the hermies. Let any true females continue... but the fact that you've let hermies mature next to true females blows my mind, what's more is that they haven't been pollenated? wow. Harvest the hermies.

sound like the inside of a calyx. they AREN'T hollow. even when they don't get pollinated they still have a little "seed-like" structure within them. this is the unfertilized egg if you will. unless you actually see male flowers, then i could be wrong.

PlatinumKasse.... yea, the plants were not pollinated, i accidentally light and heat stressed them in the vegging stage. prolly hermie because of that. but i havent intentionally been leaving the hermies to mature next to the females. in fact, i already trashed 2 plants earlier on because they were hermie. it's just that the current hermies didn't show any symptons until now.
And FDD2blk, i believe we spoke of this before, how the calyx has the unfertilized egg inside it. is this true for all 100% female plants? i hope so... like i said, the seeds are green, so maybe thats a good sign, as opposed to brown/grey mature seeds.
Thanks all

I had a plant do this exact thing, but the plant had no signs of male flowers anywhere.. just those little premature pod things you speak of developing on the inner calyxi (hah). I cut it down, but that's kinda cuz my light fell on it, and if my light had never done that, I'd have never discovered the pods, interesting lesson, adjust grow room when SOBER. :) It is possible to cut off pollen sacks I'm sure before they mature to open, but... I seriously hate the idea of males and hermie plants so much that I won't even fuck with anything but female plants. So I may not be the best person to talk to on this one, I fucking despise male flowers and seeds. I aim for Sensi.
