Hey guys, i have a 5'x4' room with 2x dual 48w t12 bulb holders. is this enough fluorescent lighting for a crop that moves into a 6'x5' room with 2x 400w HPS lights? Also, how much vegetative light is too much?

thanks in advance! :joint:

too much light? only if youre burning shit with it. or if you can make more light than the sun does.

T5's are better.. More efficient, more lumens..
You are right about the T5's, they kick ass. My point was just that he already has the T12 fixtures, so if T8's would fit into them he could gain efficiency without buying new fixtures.

If I had the extra cash. I'd build a grow room where all of the walls would be covered with fluro tubes. That would kick ass - light EVERYWHERE! The plants would love it.

yeah sounds more annoying than it's worth, lol. I have mylar with fixtures about a foot away from the plants, I'll see how it works out for now, if anything i'll throw a couple cfl's in there.
