Is there too many young leaves around the base of this lady

okay cheers for that Raspberrykiwi, so i'll keep on with the nutes for another couple of weeks at least then, or until the pistils are orange before moving to water only.
Hi Raspberrykiwi, I see some of the pistils starting to turn orangey on her now especially the smaller lower down heads...but is it still too soon to stop the nutes? Should I let most/all the pistils turn orange first..would you reckon there is still another couple of weeks flowering going on here? Thanks for any advice.

I would let almost every pistil turn orange before giving only water. Your plant needs nutrients all the way up until harvest. Just less towards the end

Also, I would say easily 4 more weeks to go. Maybe longer. Do you have a jewelers loop or a microscope to check trichome color?

This is her atm ...few more pistols changing colour now....in my diary it's now 9weeks since it popped out if the soil and tomorrow will be week 5 of flower....does that sound right? I think I read somewhere 9weeks was how long it took critical kush from seed to harvest...but I know to look at this the buds still seem small compared to the last plant....I check the trichomes using a super zoom on camera....they're still all translucent...I'll send a pic of the trichomes later

I promise you, your plant is not even close to being ready. If you’re only in week 5 of flower then you have about a month left. I wouldn’t start feeding regular water for at least 3 more weeks. You have a lot of time left. Be patient. These plants are ready when they’re ready.

Brilliant Raspberrykiwi, thanks for the advice... I hope you don't mind if I keep you posted on here as to how its going and further advice...the last plants I grew I truly was winging it...this is the 1st one were I've had all the 'right'( if the poor mans version of) equipment in place and want to try and get this one as close to done correctly as possible with my limited knowledge so far. I had considered at one stage that this plant might take 12 weeks overall (read that somewhere too) and not the 9 weeks like I read on some other site,(possibly I read it wrong and the flowering is 9 weeks and not the overall grow time) and what you say would confirm that and would bring it up to around 12 weeks. Thanks again as it takes a bit of weight off my mind about how close I am to needing to cut. Cheers :) you know us noobs lol

Most likely 9 weeks of flower for sure. But you’re doing good! I think you may be getting a bit inpatient, but we all do that lol. You’re fine to post progress! I have a thread that I post every week progress of my plant! Incase you missed it, my plant is day 65 from seed today and day 2 of flower.

Cool , how do I find that thread.....I'd like eventually to be growing like you guys. That way yours is growing is that called lollipopping? I presume cutting off the lower branches at an early stage means less bud sites , but more potent/bigger top ones?

Well, I cut 1/3 of the leaves off the plant on the bottom. That way I still have a thick top canopy. Any lower bud sites just use up energy to bud. What ima do here in a couple days is cut off anything that will not make it to the top so all the energy is pushed to the top of the plant. It does leave for denser buds up top. The bottom buds would be airy and fluffy anyways lol. I have over 40 bud sites for sure at this point, so I’m not worried about the power stuff

Cool I will follow it when I start my next plant cheers for that. I've noticed some brown spots appearing on a couple of the top leaves on mine atm Raspberrykiwi but only on these ones in the images....none further down so I'm hoping that it's a deficiency I can fix and not leaf septoria :( Any advice please guy's. Also noticed a wee bit of black along a leaf too...could this be potassium deficiency? Have pk mix in with water..but hadnt watered since yesterday...waiting on top layer of soil to dry a bit more....could that day without water cause a deficiency that quickly...

After a good few hours researching and sweating the bit out, i've come to the conclusion that is actually a bit of light/heat stress... i've been reading on some sites regarding potassium def and Mg def and apparently if this occurs near the top of the plant its light stress as opposed to potass def, which apparently will start in the lower leaves (but not always) and the 'problems' look alike....so i'm hopin, that's what it is and hopefully easily rectified....ph meter was ordered at 4am this morning anyway lol. Any advice?
