hi my one plant seems to be yellowing from the tips on nearly all fan leaves and it has tiny brown spots on them aswell. iv just recently bought a ph meter as my last 1 broke and realised that big bud was bringing my nutrient solution down to 5.8 so i corrected my last watering to 6.8 and added a little epsom salts also. i still think its getting worse it seems to be in the middle section of the plant.

medium- biobizz all mix
nutes - biobizz bloom and veg
additives - epsom salts, blackstrap molasses and big bud
temps- night- 60 day - 70
humidity night - 80 day - 60

please help as its getting worse thanks

Is it a bug, is it a deficiency, is it a pH problem?????? Again, one guess is as good as another.

Your temps are to low and your humidity is to hight, i'm not saying that is the problem but its a starting point. I would Flush and start over with 1/2 strenght feedings, see how they react

Turn the leaves over and look for a fine webbing or small moving specks. If its bug related it could be spider mites (I hate them so much). Thats easy to check. However, to me it looks more like Ph lockout condition to the acidic side, that is locking out Magnisium. Spotting is also indicative of PH lockout.

Notice that on this chart you can see Mag being locked out at around 5.8 and you watered with 5.8ph water so you are on the edge of lockout.

I suspect that you figured this was a mag deficiency and added epsom salts to begin with, so good job you are probably right however you are wrong about the reason for it. Its not that its not in the soil its just that the plant cant take it in.

I have resolved this issue before by doing the following:

I did a Total flush with neutural water
I put a layer of fresh soil on top
Water with some (no nutes, flushing out any salts that have built up since no nute uptake has occured for a bit) 8ph(first time) then 7.5ph(2nd time) when your plants are dry. Then go back to normal PH and nutes.

In about a week to 1.5 weeks you should see a huge difference(It should be obvious you fixed the problem).

hi thanks for the reply iv got my fans running 24/7 and the temps are between 60 and 75 now and humidity is between 50 and 70 still so i just purchased some silica gel cat litter to put in the grow room to reduce humidity levels. thedude27 you just sed what i thought couldave been the cause so i think thats what im gonna do give them a flush now when soil drys then water with ph 8 then ph 7.5 then ph 6.8 with half strength nutes. il let you guys know how it turns out.. +rep

the lower leaves are still green in colour its the smaller fan leaves half way up the plant that are yellowing and eventually get tip burn and the tips are curled up and crispy. i also add 1ml per liter of grow when i feed to keep the yellowing of lower fan leaves to a minimum

i would be surprised if that is bugs. could be either over fertilization or a deficiency of some sort Potassium or Manganese perhaps. Potassium and manganese deficiency can both cause brown spots. over fert can cause yellowing like that. im leaning towards over fertilization
