All part of the game. You never know. Sometimes it's well worth the gamble. I'm a huge fan of starting a bunch of seeds and looking for that one special phenotype but I'm perfectly happy with finding out that the clone I got from someone else really was the result of other people doing the hard work of growing a bunch of plants out to find that one stand out specimen.
