Sure, why not. "300 watt" is fine -- whatever that is. Could actually be 150 watts at the wall, but I digress...

I'm growing with the same style light 300 watt led Mars hydro costed 70$
Take a look at my grow, I'm a noob and this is my first grow my ph has been off until about 5 days ago I'm at early week 5 veg

I have the 300W Mars Hydro LED and it has been doing wonders for my grow. I am growing outdoors in a greenhouse so I only use it as supplemental light, but it sure seems to be doing the trick.
I would say that 300 watt LED could be good for up to 2 plants.

They've been smelliy during veg already, slightly , when pruning.
Im growing basil in there too, it's quite overpowering.

Sweet! Looks exactly like one of mine a month or so ago.
I topped mine a few times and did some LST to get them to this point, but you'll find they don't grow tall but bushy. Well, mine did anyways.

I use a Mars 2 in my 2x2x4 starter tent. For seedlings etc.
The light does make heat. Enough to to be delt with. I use a fan to vent.
It is a small space to do a whole grow in. Not a lot of head room. But the mars 300 is plenty of light for a 2x2 tent. They gonna need to be tiny plants however.
