i was thinking, some of the best and biggest pot plants come from outdoors. no light can compete with the sun. however, some amazing and high yielding plants also come from indoors with environmental controls (temp, humidity, and especially Co2). would it be possible to get a perfectly clear, plastic tent that is air-tight, put it outside and cool it with dual hosed AC's, and then supplement it with co2?? that way you would have a double whammy, the best light, and environmental controls. anyone ever heard of this??

sounds like a greenhouse...

with the monsters that grow outside you'd want it to be pretty big

Sure, you could do that! I've even given it some serious thought, from time to time - for one reason or another - I've never actually done it. I have recently moved to a "no privacy from the neighbors" kind of place, so I can't really do it here. But I still have a "rural, wide open acre" that I will probably be moving back to someday - so the idea still sounds good to me!

Maybe some others will chime-in here and we can get something going! What you are describing here sounds like a "full service" greenhouse (with all the bells and whistles). In my minds eye, I picture something similar - but more along the lines of a "solar powered grow cabinet", anyway - I think we are in the same "Ball Park" here.

My experience in this "design" is purely theorhetical, but I have given it quite a bit of "daydream" time! Let's hear from somebody else - come on!!!

I have to agree, it does sound like a greenhouse. Maybe we can broaden the perameters a little bit here - think of a cross between a greenhouse and a shed with the roof removed!

A "solar powered grow cabinet"! Anyone had any experience with something like this? Or any thoughts?
