Outdoor "bonzai" bagseed in northern climate, mostly sativa but unknown genetics. Seeking informed opinions on how much longer to wait. Frost is likely within 1-2 weeks. TIA.

Wait as long as you can, the longer you let her grow the thicker she'll get = more smoke. just keep a close eye on the weather

I'd keep an eye on the trichs, let them get to where you like your smoke and then cut em down. Depending on your preference you could cut them now or give them another week or so for the trichs to get milkier or turn amber,but they look close.

nope. not yet gotta wait til those calyx's start to swell and them pistils curl back towards 'em but it's lookin great tho right around the mountain.

that woulod all depend on whether or not you have any good weed to smoke. i take some of my shit early for the sweeter taste like this shit called frosty tops. When i let it go 11 weeks it swells unimaginably to enormous proportions and carries a blue tint but the smoke is harsh and it will instantly put anyone to sleep. but if i take it at 8 weeks it tastes just like blueberries. the strain is really unknown from cali but my homie named it frosty tops.

I am all for being put to sleep lol , bring it on

I would wait....patience. If you want full power then wait till a few of the trichs start to brown a bit, then go for it. If you like a lighter more cerebral high, wait for about a 50/50 between milky and clear trichs. this is an Indica, taken today, I am giving it at least 3 more weeks if the weather holds.

Thanks for all your opinions - I took a look under the scope at 100x magnification, it looks like most trics are still clear, with a few getting cloudy or milky. Since I'm seeking more head high that couchlock, I'll let them grow for another 7-10 days or so, checking the trics every few days, and I'll aim for trics that are at least 50% clear/50% cloudy. Hopefully the weather holds.Next few days the forecast is rainy and cold, but next week sunny and clear.

I agree with everybody else, but like you stated there is frost coming in a week or two so I would say chop em right b4 the frost.
I think its better to have bud that's a bit early than bud thats moldy and you cant even smoke!

GO to a Jewelers store, or Amazon.com for that matter.

Spend about 5 bucks on a 30x or 40x Jewelers Loupe. Youll see your trichs clear as day... my personal preference? 20% Amber on the Trichs, as that the milky white, and sometimes even clear bastards will provide you with a more sativa high.. unless of course you are an in-the-couch type of guy, let them suckers blossom. Swelled calyxes and pistil color is good. Remember you can always trim in moderation..

Depending on the strain, some plants ripen from the top down, others from the bottom up.. and some just all around. It's not a problem to trim and finish in moderation.. allow them lower kolas to absorb some light.. They are lookin purty...

I dont think your gonna make it that long. Looks like Oct 15 to me

I took some pictures through the scope and thought I might as well post them. As of Friday, most trics are still clear with the odd milky or amber one. Hopefully the wet and cold weather is done for now, I want to wait another week and harvest after the 5-7 days of dry sunny weather forecast for this week. These are 100xmagnification, the lowest my scope goes.
