I use cfl light and you need to be closer to the bulbs like an inch or two. Other info is needed about the grow ie. space you have and ventilation ,temp, and strain your using also what temp are your lights

Ok so i got 5 cfls going 100 watts each on 4 plants. I dont know what strain..my buddy gave me these clones because it was my first time. I am using super thrive and happy frog soil. the space is 45 x 25 and the temp is 80 degrees F. ventalation i have a gap at the top about 6x7 inches wich a little fan insideIMG016.jpgIMG015.jpg

These are on week 2 except for the one that has the most leaves. Its on its 4 week. was in shock my buddy over watered it and it died. so i brought it back to life

The reason those plants are stretching is cause the lights are too fare away. CFL's should be about 2 inches away. Closer if you have fans running. I literally kept my last batch of vegging plants touching my T-8's for 2 or 3 weeks. They stay really cool. Of course that meant raising the lights very often.

Those amount of CFL's are good for right now though. You can pick up cheap shop lights at walmart. T-8's. 2x4ft fixture plus bulbs for around 20 bucks. I may not go back to using CFL's

IMG022.jpgIMG021.jpgIMG020.jpgIMG019.jpgok so i went and got some more 100 watt cfl's. I dont have a ballast light fixture so i got these instead,so far they are lookin nice any suggestions?

They could still be closer I think. You'll know for sure if they start stretching But that looks good for now. You'll need more CFL's to flower. Remember that only actual watts matter. Not the equivalent. Lowes and HomeDepot both have good selections of bigger cfl's and reflectors for them. You should read a CFL sticky.
What strain are they?
I imagine that lack of light caused them to be stunted, if they are as old as you say.No worreis though dude. They can still turn into some nice plants.

As an after thought, if you are new to this, I would keep all the nutes and additives or whatnot to a minimum. And don't mess with em. Let me grow and do their thing.

ok so here is my upgrade, i got the 400 watt hps sun systems 2 in here
