Is this too young for LST - 17 Days from Germination?

Here are some NYPD Fem (this is my first grow), I just started bending them and administering foliate spraying. Take a look, the largest one is about 4 inches. They are under a 1000W MH.

Is this the right thing to do, or should I just let them go for a bit before I lst...

Why do you feel the need to LST them so early?

They are fine, I start my LST right away after the second node is established. I used to train my mothers to grow in a circle around the rim of the pot and then layer them. This yields a sick amount of clone sites. I also top along the way to help keep them super bushy. I hope that helps.

Thanks guys...I just want to LST early, to get a good base to LST even crazier later. Took a look at the girls this morning, (Pics were from Yesterday afternoon) and one is completely bushed out to all hell, so I took the pipe cleaners off and I going to let it grow a touch more (like 2 days) to get some height and LST Her again. The other is a touch more lanky to begin with, she is starting to show nicely on that one side, so I bent here the other way to juice things up there. Thank you again, I'll post some pics tonight. The bushy one looks like a strawberry plant now its so full and close to the ground.
