Anyone have a package go through ISC in Chicago? If so can anyone say if they pass easier/harder/the same as in ISC? I have my seeds from the tude sitting in ISC Chicago for the last cpl days. I'm use to them going to ISC in NY?

Some of my orders used to go through Chicago ISC. When I was living in Wisc. Was the only place that has ever intercepted an order sent to me.

Did you get the intercepted package with a customs note?
Yep customs seal on the pkg, and a note telling me I can come to Chicago to claim my items. If I remember correctly. But sometimes just takes a while. Like others have said, they are most likely on their way.

not to upset anyone or anything, but i have heard more than once that the customs in chicago is more strict i guess you'd say then the isc in nyc. this is strictly riu rumor mill stuff, nothing personal..
i'd not sweat it though, i think they will be overflowed from stuff being sent from ny to help out with what's going on with sandy..

Hi RB,

If I were to receive a note from customs stating I may drive down to the city(as this other poster stated), I would ignore it and re-order to a different name and address. That's not protocol for Int. mail delivery around here, it would set off all sorts of red flags in my house...lol

Peace!

wassup sun?? i have had one letter from customs out of many a seed order.. i'm sure you have an idea of how many beans i tend to order.. :D

anyhoo's, it was an order from sannies a few years ago.. it was well over a month and no order yet, so i pm'ed sannie and told him the dillio, and he reshipped my order no questions asked.. exactly one week later i got my order in the mail box.. the very next day i went to get the mail again and i saw another package from sannies.. like i said, this was years ago, and his packages were pretty unique, so as soon as i saw it i knew what it was..
got all excited and then when i went to open it, i saw that it had been taped together.. i had that sinking feeling in my gut as i opened it, and lo and behold inside was my very first keepsake letter from customs... :(

anyhoo's, my point being that i got the other package a day before the one with the letter.. therefore i would have thought that if they put people on some sort of watch list, then i never would have gotten the second package, the first to arrive, but i did no issues. that, and i've ordered ton's of beans in the mean time as this was about 3 or so years ago, all to the same addy, and still only had that one interuption, so ime, no real need to go changing addy's over one snagged package... maybe if you lived in a super small town or something i'd think about it, but even then, it's customs doing the snagging and not your local post office..

just my $.02 and my experience.. :D

lol, I wasn't saying drive down to get it. That letter made me laugh actually, well as much as I could as my order was jacked. But don't worry, unless they intercept hundreds of beans I wouldn't imagine anyone would hear from them.

I have been told that once your tracking states it is in Chicago, NY, NJ, etc. I is already through actual customs. Only packages that clear customs are logged into the tracking dept.
Like amateur grower, I have only lost one order to customs, it was 3-4 years ago, think it was to BC something, off hightimes. I didn't know to track it, and just got a letter from customs.
My girlfriend was legal patient and called the number, said she was a patient in Michigan and wanted her shit, they said they didn't give a fuck who she thought she was, and to kick rocks.
No, I am not exactly sure what she thought they were going to do by her making a call. lmao.
There's my info, I could be full of shit though. It's just what I've been told by people that sound smrt.
