It could be a bug?

You let your plant drink the runoff? You feed to runoff to get rid of the old nutes. Why for you do this? coco remember.
I flush once a month and never over feed so don't get much runoff unless I do a flush. I read this was going?

I've been planning changing from coco as its a faf, ill look into promix hp and thanks for your input
HP is great stuff. You can use it straight out of the bale with hydro nutes if you want. No prep, no balancing Ca etc yadda-yadda. Water until soaked then let dry down until the pot is really light then water again until soaked. I use mostly AN pH perfect nutes with RO water only and never even think about the pH.

I only leave it sit in the runoff for a while, if there is any, to make sure it's had time to absorb all it can so there's no dry spots in the pot. Feed no more than 1/2 strength nutes unless your plants tell you they want more or maybe even less if you see some tip and edge burning on the leaves.

Can also be blended with organics if that's to your liking and makes a great base for that or use liquid organic nutes. It has myco in it but I like adding a product called DynoMyco tho I'm not sure it does any good with hydro nutes yet but claims to work with them too. Only started using it a few months ago.

I think coco comes with it's own steep learning curve but like every other method it works great for some but not others so I'm not putting it down. For me it's a 2 hour drive to get to a hydro shop to get some where ProMix is sold all over the place around me. Not to mention it's almost 3X the price.

I'm all for learning, I started by doing and couldn't find any solid info or case study. Now with legislation more 8nfo is available. I'm in the UK so unfortunately not many people to chat to or to see grows for real. Getting hold of products is hard as alot of good grows are in Canada or America. Alot of good organic grows in Amsterdam so might as well be in Africa as I don't get to have a good chat with anyone or see a good grow. Thank you for your help and will definitely look into the blends and try by error I guess.

They may not have ProMix HP there but there should be something else that's much the equivalent. No shortage of peat bogs in the UK. :)

Here's what it looks like in the bag/bale. Lots of perlite with dolomitic and calcitic lime and no soil at all. Very little amount of sticks and crap either and what there is is small so no need to clean them out. I screen some for a finer mix to start seeds or clones in.

It dont matter even get you heaps of runoff, thats not over feeding.
Too high ec will result in over feeding regardless of runoff or even a correct ec without runoff will eventually create a build up that will result in over feeding.

Ahh I see what you're saying, can I just say all the plants are not sat in bottom but have a platform under the plant pot letting water escape.
