So, I live in Florida and the Air conditioner is out. the tents are at 112 F and rising! I am exhausting the air at full speed and have all te fans I own exchanging the air as fast as I can.

This isn't good. Just thought I'd share my pain. Have a nice day...

go buy a new ac asap . problem solved . you have to spend money on the ac or spend money on weed to smoke your choice . me I rather grow my self so I get a discount .

It is the Ac unit for the entire house. It is an air cooled bulb already. I opened the window and stuck a fan exhausting the hot air outside from the room. and opened up every window in the house. The temp is down to 96 now.

is the fan on the unit spinning? if not, try to jump start it by moving the fins manually with a screw driver. keep track of temps; i'd rather use ambient light and have a little stretch than cook em.

If you've got it down to 96, you're good. For awhile anyway. 96 won't kill them, but will slow growth. You could dim down or use a smaller light until you get them A/C fixed.

turned AC off for awhile. I just turned it back on and the unit is spinning again. It feels like it's getting cool again. could just be wishful thinking...

if the fan motor freezes/locks up it'll blow heat instead of cold. if it's getting cold now with the fan spinning, it's probably your fan motor going bad. happened to me a couple of years ago, i replaced the fan motor and haven't had another problem.

I actually think it is the motor capacitor. same thing happened last year. exact same symptoms. let it chill a couple hours and it'll come back on. The unit is too small for the house, so it is running constantly. especially with the grow going on in Summer. 1000W 4x4 Flower tent and a 400w 2x4 Veg tent. both put of a good amount of heat.

Well, that didn't last. Looks like I will be replacing the capacitor today... If I can get one... Air died again last night. Atleast the 1000W doesn't come on for another hour. I hope I can find the part by the time that tent heats up...

Close call but next time just make sure the plants have good circulation by blowing air right on them. Just like people when it's hot we need a fan. Also, raise the light as high as you can so the canopy doesn't get too warm. Consider this, Aussie's grow with no A/C and it get's hot as fuck down under but they grow some huge bud's. If you ever looked at any of their grows you'll see a lot of circulating fans. What many don't realize is that weed loves hot weather and will grow wheater hot or cold.

Add some co2... 92 is way to hot, without co2. Even with co2 that is still hot. There are a couple of videos on youtube about making cheap ass AC thingy with a bucket, ice and a fan.
