Itty bitty drying

Ok so I was over at a friends place today and he was chopping his plants. Out of boredom I decided to help him trim. After about 3 hours I was done and had to get to work anyway. As payment, which I didn't ask for because he always shares even when I bring my own, he insisted I take a branch with some buds on it. I picked out a modest little branch and have gave me the standard (I wanted you to take more) look.

Anyway, I have decided to 'dry' this tiny ass branch as fast as possible. Right now I have it sealed in a card board box hanging upside down with a damp-rid inside the box. It's light sealed, but has no air motion. The damprid should suck well over 100% of the RH out of the box in just a few hours and then it should start sucking the moisture out of the buds.

Any guesses on how long it will take to dry this way? My guess is 2.5 - 3 days maybe less.

I'm not worried about cure or how well it burns since I only vape, I'm just curious as to how this is going to turn out. I find it funny to have such a small branch and a tiny cardboard box dedicated to a single branch dry.

Can you tell I'm a bit bored and need something to do?

If I have any buds that are small or have accidentally been snipped from the branch during trimming, I collect them on the table until I'm done working and then dry them in a little mesh strainer on my window sill for a few days before putting them in a paper bag and then a jar.
