Jack Classic Nutes, Dynamic DUO? ?

Right now Im using FloraNova bloom, Dyna-Gro Pro-tekt, Botanicare's liquid karma and hydroplex, and Gen Hydro's Pineapple sweetner.

Ive been lookin through a lot of logs and discussions here on RIU, and have been looking at the Jack Classic and bloom booster Nutes....The DUO...Many expert growers like UNCLE BEN seem to like this brand, and it looks like it gives great results with only 2 products...

I've got about 3 weeks (give or take) left of my current nutes...Should i switch and try this great priced DUO of JACKs' Nute? and If i do, should i still use the Pro-Tekt ?(silicon)
Or pineapple sweetner? Or is the DUO team really able to produce quality nuggs?

Any body had experience with this Jacks formula? please advise? THANKS ! ! ?

here is my current grow in question....
1600watt Feminized Cheisel, Vanilla Kush, Super Skunk, Strawberry D-lite, GigaBud ! !

LAST GROW --- finished 1.5LBS
1000watt Feminized Barney's Farm Violator Kush, Afgan Kush, Papaya Grow!

Works great! I've used it for well over 35 years with no problems, other than the ones I caused myself.

Keep the ProTekt, I use it also with the Duo. IDK about the other stuff, no experience with it.

You will need to add some dolomite lime or similar to your mix. The Duo has no added cal or mag. This is done on purpose to avoid lockouts from limed mixes and/or tap water, which it was designed to work with.

i would also get Miracle Gro 24-8-16 for veg, as 20-20-20 is best used during the transition to flower.
veg-24-8-16
transition-20-20-20
bloom-10-30-20
that, and i would use a combo of 20-20-20, and 10-30-20 during bloom, to get the right balance between N and P.
Wetdog knows his shit. definetly use Dolomite Lime, 1 cup per cubic ft, these soluables are VERY acidic.
we use a PH meter and Potassium Silicate as a PH up.
be very careful with any dose over 1 TSP per gallon.

Jacks is great , why not go one step further and go all Dyna Gro . I make use of both brands .
I actually have about half a bottle a dyna-gro bloom, and about 1/3 a bottle of dyn-gro "Grow" How should I incorporate theese together?
like one day feed with jacks and the next feeding with dyna-gro? or mix Jacks's and dyna-gro together and feed?

Thanks :)

Not really, the cal/mag does nothing for your soil pH.

The lime only cost ~$5 for a 40lb bag. It's too cheap and simple to use to not use it. You will avoid all kinds of problems with its application.

I wouldn't, you're just asking for problems IMO. I have both, but don't use them together, not the nutes anyway.

I found out long ago, I had problems every time I used different nutes on the same grow, either by switching nutes, or using a combination of different ones. This was both in my regular garden, or my 'patch'. Now, I just don't do it.

I've never used the domolite lime before....Is that something I premix in with the soil? or is it something i can put on top of the soiL? Im gonna be starting 12/12 in a week or so , Or is this advise for a next grow type thing?

All of the above. It's best mixed into the soil before use, but you can top dress with it if the plants are in their final home and once you see what it does, you WILL be using it in the future.

Use 2tbl/gallon of mix, or 1cup/cf of mix.

I get mine at Lowes, but HD has it along with about any place that has garden stuff.

would you suggest the Dolomite lime with a soil-less medium like redi-gro. I have currently been growing using my fathers trusted recipe of 1/2 tsp per gallon of water of the 20-20-20 with 2tsp Epsom salts per gallon water in my veg reservoir. feeding with every watering via top feed dripper. For flower we use the bloom at the 1/2 tsp per gallon in the reservoir. he has done this for 30+ years so it is the formula I started using, just looking for ways to improve it.

Would 2 teaspoons per gallon of soil be enough or does it need higher amounts for it to work right with Jacks classic?
