Jack's 321 with RO water = 121 > 221 > 321?

I'm getting mag deficiencies in late veg and it's delaying the flip. So I was thinking should I be running the part B and the epsom salt at full strength from the beginning, and step up the part A as I go? Tap water would have plenty of cal/mag before adding the nutrients, so I feel like keeping the 321 proportions in the early stages with ro is starving my plants. I could add Calimagic or some such, but why not just use the calcium nitrate and epsom salt instead?

Does this seem like a bad idea? I know people recommend against deviating from the 321 proportions. Maybe run the cal nit and epsom at half strength instead of going full bore?

Watching.

I havent run Jack's yet but have the part a and b for future runs and use RO also.

Are you 100% sure it is a deficiency? I used the tap formula and had no issues through veg. I dont think i dropped a single leaf till flower...or close to it.

Should have plenty of mag but some plants do want more than others.

Got some pics you can share?

Some more info on your grow?

run it at 3-2-1 mix rate. add water to drop your EC if you need to.
This is basically what I was doing, but I have a reserve with a floater valve so I can't really add more water. I was just measuring less grams to hit 0.8 to 1.2 EC. One thing I noticed was the feed schedule on the site says feed them full strength through veg and flower, at 2.0 or 2.2 EC. That's crazy high for veg. I've hardly ever hit 1000 in full flower.

I know that Mega Crop's A and B ratios flip once they enter flower. Same with NPK Raw. Also when adding cal/mag people usually recommend 0.2 or 0.4 before adding the nutes. I don't think they are getting enough when I run the veg strength. If the part A is 45 grams for 30 gallons, then I'm only adding 30 cal nit and 15 mag. Full strength is 90 grams, and 60 cal nit and 30 mag. I need to test the EC of each separately to get a better idea, but it just seems really low.

Should I just use Calimagic all of the way through instead of messing with the ratio? Also only half of my plants are suffering from it, but the other's are fine. Two strains are struggling and the other strain is rolling along.

I took a picture of the leaves earlier just for a reference for myself, so it’s not real helpful. The problem is immobile because they lower leaves are mostly fine, or at least the same level of discoloration. No burnt tips or signs that it’s from overkill.

I might have just been massively under feeding them based off of Jack’s chart.

I always had slight issues in veg that would work itself out in flower when I ran jacks 321. I now run 3g jacks, 2.5g calnit and no epson from rooted clone to flower and I dont have those same issue in veg anymore. I add a little mkp at week 2.5 and its the best my plants have ever looked.

Using RO water?

You will get a Deficiencie on most plants with RO & MC 2 part during the transitioning stage, so Add away.
I've seen others say they don't use epsom, so I'm wondering how that works. Especially considering my mag deficiency while using it. I'm using coco, so many soil doesn't need it?

The majority of people aren't using RO systems like us.

Try this out,
Check your PH run off first just to make sure it's solid. If your PH is good then you know it's a deficiency, if it's off adjusting the nutrient solutions PH and feed.

You're probably over feeding causing low pH. 0.8-1.2 EC is crazy high in veg if you're feeding with every watering IMO.

I'm at about 0.3 EC total if I feed with every watering in veg. 0.6-0.7 EC total in full flower with coir.

I've only grown with HID so the requirements may be a little bit higher with LED's. Gonna figure out this LED deal in the upcoming months myself.
