Or you just think you are at the 'vangaurd' and just happen to have enough radicalized people on the different sides and a homogenous enough population that all the radicalized domestic terrorists can create violence and hide easily.

So you don't think Racism has always been around and that this data driven online spam propaganda attack is being done with machines that just came out?

Im guessing you are just trolling me here maybe.

Oh, so you were just talking shit and pretending like I said something I didn't.

Cool. It is worth pointing out. The very real divisions in our society is what is being exploited and amplified until nobody can see straight.

Agreed. And also would add any other mentally unstable person that was able to be pushed into doing violence too.

Agreed.

Those police who broke the law and became criminals have been just as radicalized as anyone else. Some since birth, others later using propaganda to play on the things that they seen and heard growing up that didn't stick until they got spammed the worst of the worst of everything that they demonstrated would impact them.

And I won't eat a sandwich if I make a pizza?

I think this sentence was just about trolling maybe. But I think you are missing a bigger picture of the propaganda attack on us all. The programming is not just going to one group of people, it is going to everyone, everywhere, all the time. And people who are not white also will be getting the constant fear mongering too to the point that they think that 'Defund the Police' is whatever they are programmed to believe it is.

This was a big part of what I was trying to point out with the attack on the hispanic communities with the constant noise that was effective.

Agreed. Which is why I am not bummed that police are rethinking what it is that they are doing.

The only way that this gets solved is to keep voting. Keep showing up and drowning out the noise that is currently being spammed at our politicians too. Don't let them hide behind 'plausible deniability' of stupidity with this propaganda attack that the right wing is currently trying like hell to keep as quiet as possible.

I think you are trying to troll too hard and misread what they wrote.

Putin didn't create racism in the US. He exploited it. I don't disagree that it's an attack. It's just that racism and racist violence against Black people and others has been going on a long time. Long before the internet. We even fought a civil war over it. Thousands were lynched too. And the Civil Rights Act did not cause the violence either.

Creeping fascism on our police forces. That's a home grown threat.

FBI director suggests 'serious charges' coming in probe of Capitol attack

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - FBI Director Chris Wray on Thursday suggested "serious charges" are still coming in the criminal investigation of the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump.

"This is a very ongoing investigation and there's a lot more to come," Wray said during an oversight hearing held by the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee. "I would expect to see more charges — some of them maybe more serious charges."

Wray testified that the FBI considered the attack an act of "domestic terrorism." He said he understands why Democratic lawmakers have called the attack an "insurrection," but said it would not be appropriate for him to use that word because of the effect it could have on pending criminal cases.

"In my role as FBI director, because that's a term that has legal meaning, I really have to be careful about using words like that," Wray said.

Democratic lawmakers repeatedly grilled Wray, appointed by Trump in 2017, over what they said were intelligence failures that left law enforcement ill-prepared for the deadly attack.

"The FBI's inaction in the weeks leading up to Jan. 6 is simply baffling," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said. "It is hard to tell whether FBI headquarters merely missed the evidence — which had been flagged by your field offices and was available online for all the world to see — or whether the Bureau saw the intelligence, underestimated the threat, and simply failed to act."

Wray responded that on Jan. 5 an FBI field office in Virginia issued an explicit warning, sent to U.S. Capitol Police, that extremists were preparing to travel to Washington to commit violence.

Wray added that "almost none" of the 500 people charged so far with participating in the attack had been under FBI investigation previously, suggesting it would have been difficult for the FBI to have monitored them in advance.

lulz right back at you for pretending like I have ever said anything other than this.

I just find it slightly funny that what you consider the 'vanguard' to racism is a mostly white city that has about half the police force that would be patrolling minority city.

A city that just so happens to have the right wing talking point of 'ANTIFA' and far right groups like 'Proud Boys/Patriot Prayer group or whatever they call themselves' all out LARPing for the cameras to get all the high impact video for those commercials that Trump and the Republicans are all too happy to use as their clickbait.

Feds arrest Three Percenter militia members for Capitol insurrection — including Roger Stone body guards: report
The Department of Justice announced the arrest of six members of the Three Percent militia who participated in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

According to Politico and Reuters, the indictment was handed down Wednesday and made public Thursday.

"About 30 people - including members of two other right-wing groups, The Oath Keepers and The Proud Boys - have been accused of conspiracy, the most serious charges related to the riot," said Reuters. "Those pending cases are the largest and most complex of the roughly 500 brought by the Justice Department since the attack. The other Three Percenters charged were Eric Scott Warner, Felipe Antonio 'Tony' Martinez, Derek Kinnison and Ronald Mele."

Raw Story Exclusive: Michael Cohen Says
Indictments Coming Within 60 days

Charges for the accused include conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding and unauthorized entry to a Secret Service-restricted area with weapons, which is only applied to a few of the men.

Alan Hostetter and Russell Taylor were two men seen the day before the attack with Roger Stone outside of the Trump Hotel. They claimed to be providing security for Stone, who purports to be an adviser to Trump.

Hostetter was a La Habra, California police chief.

did you know that Putin had nothing to do with lynching in the deep south during the 1930's? That police brutality was visited upon Black people long before the internet?

Those police who broke the law and became criminals have been just as radicalized as anyone else. Some since birth, others later using propaganda to play on the things that they seen and heard growing up that didn't stick until they got spammed the worst of the worst of everything that they demonstrated would impact them.
There has always been white nationalist, racist, sadistic and brutal cops. Our history is filled with them, going back to the original police posses that were badged and sent out with official license to do violence while hunting down escaped slaves. The cops who "broke the law" did so first and foremost because they are sadist, white nationalist and brutal cops. They weren't radicalized by Putin. They were raised that way from birth in a nation that doesn't even know how not to be racist.

And, yes, Portland's resistance movement to creeping fascism is among the vanguard of communities that are in opposition to fascist police. Rose City Antifa are one of the oldest groups in that movement. They are anti fascist, not Black, not the same as BLM and it doesn't require being black to oppose fascism or whatever people want to call the white nationalist movement currently threatening our country's democracy. As to our lack of diversity, it's my guess that Trump and his white supremacist followers chose Portland for their worst violence because it is so white. Also because they thought we'd be pushovers. They were wrong on that account.

How much longer do we have to wait before you start saying stupid shit like "Russia, Russia, Russia"?

So I don't get why you are acting like I am saying stupid shit like somehow Putin was doing shit from a time before he was born.

What you are saying is true as far as I know. I really don't know shit about your city other than what I can find on Google.

A mostly white city with about 700 cops patrolling it while a bunch of radicalized white males (mostly, it seems like a lot of girls end up branded as 'ANTIFA', but who knows) that don't realize that their own white privilege of having well under half the number of police that would be dominating them if they lived in a city like Detroit.

It is interesting to me that "ANTIFA" and the other brandname hate groups you all have out there are not considered 'gangs'.

IDK, I would argue that the handful of radicalized domestic terrorists that worked hard to paint the protests as violent did exactly what Trump hoped would happen for his summer of violence troll that the Republicans are still running with.

I was shocked when I saw how many voted for Trump. I had to re-think the situation and adjust my perception of what kind of country I live in. I had to point at myself on Nov 4 and say, naive.

He didn't have that many, IMHO, Drump said we cheated, We all know what that means, It means He did. 70million No Way. when Drump says someone did something it means he did.
Bunch of fucking losers is all !!!

Does it belong here? Maybe if the House and Senate take the same actions on the people that encouraged Jan 6.

Oregon House ousts GOP rep for helping protesters enter state Capitol
The Oregon House on Thursday voted 59-1 to expel Republican state Rep. Mike Nearman, who was accused of helping far-right protesters enter the state Capitol in December.

Nearman’s seat will likely remain vacant for the remainder of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end on June 27.

The 22 other state House Republicans reportedly remained silent during the floor debate. Nearman was the lone “no” vote against his ouster.

He had previously been stripped of committee assignments and forced to pay $2,000 to make up for damages caused by the protesters.
“The facts are clear that Mr. Nearman unapologetically coordinated and planned a breach of the Oregon state Capitol,” Kotek said. “His actions were blatant and deliberate, and he has shown no remorse for jeopardizing the safety of every person in the Capitol that day. Given the extraordinary circumstances, this was the only reasonable path forward.”

Oregon House Republican Leader Christine Drazan said the incident could have led to someone’s death.

“[Nearman] made a decision to intentionally come up with a plan to let people into the building [when] he did not know how that would turn out and he was comfortable with that,” Drazan said on the public radio show "Think Out Loud." “I am not comfortable with that. There could easily have been a death on that day.”

you know i was wondering about that..why he was so sure early on and how the only way the left would win is if they cheated (like he was planning).

he just didn't plan on more on the left. he wanted to make it really close- Hillary numbers that way it wouldn't look too off.

That would make my cynical day.

Various opinions abound, I think it is a mistake to look to law enforcement or any sort of state/federal agencies to assist on any of this. It's foolish to think the police will ever be on the more liberal or even center side of issues. As a profession, those careers attract people with a certain mindset/mentality, I think its a stretch to believe that a sense of actual justice or right and wrong is going to override that. The old RATM line about those who join forces being the same as those who burned crosses is pretty accurate.

I would venture to say law enforcement has a higher rate of members in hate groups than any other profession. Pure speculation and all.

It fits here. With the help of insiders, there was a near-invasion of our Capitol Building by armed Proud Boys and a mob of neo-fascist followers. Just like what happened on Jan 6 in DC.

Oregon's Republicans could not prevent the investigation because they don't have the numbers in the legislature to do so.

Vote Republicans Out.

Didn't you see that new article about the rich and taxes? They don't need any tax breaks, they have no income to speak of anyway and pay little income tax.

Just a reminder that you suck, are horrible, no one likes you

This chart was just cool, not really anything to do with the conversation though.
Some people say that white cops were radicalized into beating people they were supposed to protect. I think they had free will and made a choice.
