I could tryua run with regs, but hopefully luck will prevail.
I could end with too many few or too many male.
If you want 4 fem I guess pop 8 reg seeds? lol
For me running more than 4 isnt smart in my lil tent, and I am too cheap to cull the extras and might be the best one(s)

I know....there is no perfect answer. :0)

I stopped....finally...threw in a new "Jack The Cleaner" of my own design,
an old GHS Chemdog that popped nanners way back in the day...those seeds
are years old now. I also repopped a few Cali Connection Regs that popped
up male before, Blackwater and Pre-98 Bubba.

I am turning to make the space needed now :0)

There was one pheno that was a bit shorter and more compact, and one that was more stretchy. The shorter one is the one that became my mother plant for the "Sin-D Snacks". I didn't realize how special that one was till it was kinda late. When they were both vegging the pheno differences where there but not super dominant. Once they started flowering it became obvious that one was going to be much more compact. It still produced the typical yummy C99 buds, but the plant stayed much smaller. I took a clone of it while it was in flower, and tried to reveg it. 9 months later it still didn't really want to grow any bigger, it just kept producing funky reveg growth, so I flowered it and hit it with some male pollen from a selected Sin Mint Cookie male I had. Thus the "Sin-D Snacks" was born.

Anyway I grew the taller pheno for over a year because even though it was kinda stretchy the buds were delicious. Both phenos were completely finished by 55-60 days which is a perk of the strain. I tried running some cuts longer and shorter but didn't notice much of any difference.

Lol JD you have always got sooo many tasty sounding strains going. I havn't even been on attitude in over a year. I was thinking the other day that I'm super out of the loop as to whats "new & hot" in the industry. A couple years ago it was GSC, then GG, I have no idea whats big now. I love that you do't just grow new stuff though, you put time into some of the classics too.

So both phenos had same quality smoke! Thats great to hear, shorter better for me as well in my 60" tall tent.

For that reason I want to try some GreenHOuse seeds strains.
I want to ind out if tey rally are the "old school" strains.
I saw a few that they did videos on and had low THC based on their testing.

Seems like all strains are 25% now and unbalanced maybe?
That to me indicates that it might be the real deal

TC, yes, I do try! LOL I really enjoyed the process....just googled "strong weed"
and went from there.

It is a subjective idea and so I appreciate those who were willing to state
what they liked at the time.

It was also responses here that helped.

Sometimes I still managed to miss things. About four years ago, and before
I had been driven from ICM, I heard all about BOGs Sour Dub but I failed to
get any. Well, I am trying his Sour LSD right now. It will flower next month. :0)

Bass, I chose a Greenhouse for my "Chemdog" waaaay back at the beginning.
"Chemdog" was one of the names that came out of my search. I kinda look to Barney's
for the "classics" too....their "Blue Cheese" was so-so, twice, but their Chronic
Thunder and Pineapple Chunk were both nice and strong.

I got a nanner from an earlier run of the Chemdog, but it is still being grown by my bro.
(he *loves* this one ;0)

Anything in particular from GHS you recommend, or are they all fake or whatever?
I never know who to believe as to having the "original and Real Deal"

They are one of the originals.

I do recall them getting a rep for popping nanners, but that sort
of thing seems to affect many sellers and their reps.

Remember that this is Arjan's outfit and no one ever has grabbed
at the cash with more gusto than that dude has. :0) This does not
piss me off but it does get to some. ....and he might have been
accused of ruining wild genetics.

I am really curious as to how the crazy motarebel crosses come out.
This sort of breed, like those being made by Doc and BigWorm are
probably the best way to go these days. Trying to find that perfect
OG Kush from one of the standards, like DNA, HSO, and Reserva
Privada is no sure way to go.

Ruining wild genetics by not representing them well with his offerings, or by planting all his shit over there and then they water down the land races?

Im trying to ind a good haze that still tastes good (not grassy or menthol) and not too tall

I am glad I got the Malawi, Mulanje, and Mozambique from Holy Smoke before it was gone. It was very real. Numbed the hell out of my lips and the paranoia was on par with the old school sativas from the '70s. The high was very high!

Just took some pictures of the Purple Haze cross reveg. I will post them in a few.

I started growing too late in the game, and had all the ideas for rying things after it got too commercial.

I think that Ace Seeds certainly tries to offer wild things.

As to your Q Bass, it was the spreading modern genetics into the wild
that made people nervous.

I bought a bunch of mr nice strains, but havent popped any yet since regs.
Skunks and hazes mostly.
What is your procedure with regs if you are looking for fems?
Just 12/12 from seed till sexed them reveg fems?

I do that too TC. Well, I first hope to see a pre-flower...an early flower.

I am already looking to clone everything that I pop, but for autos, and so
for the breeds that refuse to show pre-flowers I will flower a clone from them.

I actually grabbed the camera and turned to take a shot, but 'night' has fallen
in the tent, so....what I use are loops of twist-tie to hang the cloned testers
from the corner poles of the tent.

You can make little loops on the corner poles easily with a roll of this.

You mean hang it so that is high enough to get light?
