Just got my seeds from Attitude (finally...11 working days...the last order arrived in 6).

10-packs of Cali Connection Sour Diesel and Jamaican Me Crazy (got those free with the promotion they were running) and some UFO freebies...grapefruit, bubblegummer and C99 hybrid.

Going to plant 4 Sour Diesel and 2 Jamaican Me Crazy. Don't have nearly enough room but I'll make it fit!

"Jamaican Me Crazy is our rendition of a pure jamaican strain the seeds originated in kingston jamaica and are dank skunky rotting passion fruit with a very cerebral uplifting high" --Swerve

Nice. Do keep us informed on how that Sour D. goes. And I'm always interested in Jamaican herb, and I've got a few strains I've picked up while on vacation there that I still have in seed form. I've grown out two of the three I brought back so far, a purple skunk, and what is supposed to be Lambsbreath. Both are phenomenal smoke, but a little lighter on the yield than most indoor hybrids. The purple skunk actually grows purple trich's, tastes like a tropical fruit, flower, skunk ass coctail. Lovely stuff.

I'm not running it ATM, but I've been itching to crack some more for a few months now. Perhaps this will be the catalyst...

Wow...now that sounds nice.
It really is. I've been thinking about it a lot lately, I had a two year old well cured bud stored for a rainy day, my old lady smoked it not knowing what it was...:finger:
I'm gonna have to crack some of those pretty soon here.

Yeah you're right, it's not ideal to keep it that long but it just worked out that way. The smoke definitely got a lot heavier over time, to the point where it was a completely different buzz than when fresh. I was kept in a sealed jar (as all of my stuff is) and stored in the basement which is consistently 63-67 degrees, but I probably should have frozen it.

I was in there going through my stash, trying to smoke up the older stuff and I found that half-forgotten gem. I brought it upstairs and stuck it somewhere I didn't think she'd find it, I was wrong, very, very, horribly wrong.

The really long cure seems to work better on sativa strains for whatever reason, at least in my experience. Most of my indicas reach their peak by six months, and seem to degrade after that. My blueberry does very well with a long cure, as does the super lemon haze, and both Jamaican strains that I've grown so far.

Nice ok well than i will have to do a more sativa dominate strain when i try it out but a 6 month cure sounds awesome also. i have stuff that has a 1 month cure on it but its almost gone only a 1/4 oz left lol.

I also but this seperate nug of White Widow my last nug of this strain in a jar and has been sitting there also im waiting until im finished with the headband 707 to try that nug out.

I cant wait for my blue dream should have a great yield on that one.

Never tried Blue Dream, but I've heard great things about it.

wow great job jerry. your tahoe og :weed:
Thanks mane, couldn't be happier with that strain so far.

Tahoe #3 has just begun curing, while the Sour #3 and Tahoe #2 are drying in the jars. They stink up everything in my life...heads up if you plan on growing either!

I've smoked a couple early bowl packs and vaporized a bag of the Tahoe #3 and not surprisingly it is unbelievable. Probably the smoothest bud I've ever smoked, with a light soapy/lavender flavor that leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean. Early returns indicate a very heady high, the kind that causes extreme mental wandering and lack of motivation. This is not surprising as there were very few amber trichomes when I harvested...I could have gone another 10 days or so with it really, and I may let the next plant go a tad bit longer just for fun.

I'll do a full report after its been curing for a month or so. I'll also be doing reports of the Critical Jack, Afghan Kush, Jack the Ripper, Pineapple Chunk, LSD, Reserva Privada OG Kush and Chiesel when I get around to it.

Nice update Jerry---everything soudns quite nice. Looking forward to my Tahoe arrival myself. I am curious to your drying and curing methods you typically prefer?

I hang them in a box (the one my reflector came in actually...it's quite large) for a few days, length typically depends on weather conditions, then put them in jars to cure. I sometimes intentionally put them in jars a day or two early, leaving the top off to slow the process if they are drying too quick. I currently don't have any fan blowing in the room, but I'm thinking of adding a CPU fan with small carbon filter to the box to facilitate some very light air movement and to help with the smell as they dry.

A couple days after they have dried and begun curing in the jars (with lids on a burping a few times daily) I remove all the buds and let them dry out again for about 12 hours, then put them back into the jars with the lids on. This keeps them from getting stuck to each other and not drying properly or risking mold (gravity always seems to pull the buds into a clump when they are still a little moist). After that point I try to remember to burp them every so often, gradually spacing the burps farther apart as they cure up.

That's basically it. The goal of drying is always slow and steady, and that's what I try to do. You just have to adjust your methods based on temperature and humidity, so it is important to keep a thermometer/hygrometer in the box while drying.

Going to get some new pics tonight or tomorrow morning...they are all looking quite lovely these days and I want share with you all! Next generation Tahoe #3 and Sour #3 are large and in charge...JTR is getting heavily frosted...the first Sour #4 is still going strong...near 80 days flowering now...
